During the new age of Hip Hop and social media more artists are influenced by trends, implying a misconception that artists have to sound a certain way in order to be cool and trendy. This is visible in the lyrical context and subjects of many younger artists and their work. This causes a stigma around originality and creativity which spreads fear of being judged for expressing our true nature and thoughts. Guillotine aims to cut the head of this stigma by outlining that we are all flawed and suggests self-reflection and acceptance of our flaws with the ultimate goal of spreading love as a cure for the underling fear imposed by society.
