The music of Australian-Filipino composer Anthony Moles has been described as being ‘full of mechanistic drive and flair’ (Move Records) and yet ‘containing moments of lapidary stillness at its centre’ (The Music Trust).  The Sydney Morning Herald called his fiendishly difficult piano piece Diabolic Machines ‘a virtuoso showstopper’.

Anthony’s music has been performed by some of Australia’s leading soloists and ensembles, including the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Syzygy Ensemble and Halcyon.

David John Roche’s music is direct, determined, and loud. Strongly influenced by heavy metal, lush orchestral music, and his working-class Welsh background, he has been marked out as a “clear-minded and class-conscious artist” (Culture Matters) and “one of the most energetic, driven, and successful of Wales’s millennial generation of composers” (Tŷ Cerdd). David’s work has been described as “exquisite” (Adam Walton, BBC Introducing Wales), praised for its “ingenious scoring” (The Arts Desk), and complimented for its “passages of intense expressive power” (Thomas Adès). His compositions have been broadcast, televised, and written about internationally to millions of people.

A string of international performances and commissions form the backbone of David’s work: BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Florence Philharmonic, Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, Tanglewood Music Center, Psappha Ensemble, and the Solem Quartet, among others.  David has been nominated for an award by the American Academy of Arts and Letters and has been the recipient of an Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice Grant and a Lithuanian Arts Council grant. He has just completed an electric guitar concerto for Sean Shibe, Sinfonia Cymru, and Britten Sinfonia, and he is currently finishing his first symphony-length work for orchestra, funded by Aberystwyth University, Tŷ Cerdd, and the Arts Council of Wales.

Compositora y mandolinista venezolana. Licenciada en Letras, egresada de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. Actualmente, soy estudiante de la Maestría en Música de la Universidad Simón Bolívar, y de la Maestría en Literatura Comparada de la Universidad Central de Venezuela. He tomado clases magistrales de Composición con los maestros Bruno Mantovani, Blas Atehortúa, Luca Belcastro, Marlos Nobre, Diana Arismendi, Adina Izarra, Gerardo Gerulewicz, entre otros. Dos de mis obras han sido seleccionadas para ser interpretadas en las dos últimas ediciones del Festival Latinoamericano de Música, el cual se realiza cada dos años en Caracas, Venezuela.

Currently, I'm doing a Master in Music at the Universidad Simón Bolívar, and a Master in Comparative Literature at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. I have taken Composition master classes with masters Bruno Mantovani, Blas Atehortúa, Luca Belcastro, Marlos Nobre, Diana Arismendi, Adina Izarra, Gerardo Gerulewicz, among others. Two of my musical compositions had been selected to be performed at the last two editions of the Latin American Festival of Music, held in Caracas, Venezuela every two years.
