He believes Black lives matter and recognizes that Black culture created techno, so he is an artist who benefits from the labors of Black artists. He has an affinity for DOS-based trackers, obscure EBM vinyl, and the 1995 movie Hackers.

Siamo in Corsica, a Bastia, dove il progetto prende vita e connette dimensioni locali verso un ballo libero, scenografie multimediali e suoni sperimentali. Qui, sotto la sua etichetta @lakeofconfidence una scena underground si sviluppa e cresce nell’amore per la sintesi sonora.
All’attivo un EP per @ombrainterational che richiama la passione per l’oscurità nelle note, ritmi ben calibrati e uso di sintetizzatori sapiente. Notiamo una varietà di modulazioni, che ci immergono in sequenze strutturate, perfette per la pista: un’immagine post-disco, fatta di elementi classici e progressioni. 

Danza e ritmo si fondono, il confine è sottile nell'aria del Mediterraneo.

Weaving smoothly between Italian Dance, Psychedelic Disco and Proto House, Franz quickly turns the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave fueled only by his music.
Franz Scala’s sets are as diverse as the music he curates as label head of Slow Motion. Weaving smoothly between Italian Dance, Psychedelic Disco and Proto House, Franz quickly turns the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave fueled only by his music.

Born in Italy and now a resident of Berlin for a decade Franz has his roots in noise rock and elettronica but was led by the record collectors passion into acquiring a taste for modern and not so modern dance floor music. He frequently inspires dancers in clubs all over Europe with his eclectic blend of spacey House, New Wave, Italo and Acid speckled with hints of Electro and Chicago House. 

Aside from producing on his own imprint, he has releases on World Unknown, Bordello A Parigi, Bahnsteig 23, Tusk Wax, Mechatronica or Discodromo´s Cocktail d’Amore Music.

Franz is link to many events around the german capital such as the monthly Wrong Era, Italian Dance Wave and Italorama night in Panorama Bar, Magic Waves or New Dance Fantasy Festival. Beside long time collaboration with Sameheads he is regular dj at Griessmuhle and Salon zur Wilden Renate.

In 2013 he joined Dimitri SoEmotional in the “Studio Luce” project

March blew in with frigid winds, a furious lion stalking its territory, howling through the barren trees like a restless spirit. Snowstorms ravaged the landscape, each flake a shard of ice that pierced the heart of winter's grip, leaving towns buried in white despair. 
As the month wore on, the earth trembled beneath its roar, a prelude to the chaos that brewed. Hidden tensions erupted, relationships frayed, and the darkness of ambition turned friends into foes. But as the lion's growl faded, the last roars melded into whispers, the storms dissipating into a quiet resignation. 
By month’s end, the thaw came gently, ushering in an unassuming lamb, a fragile calm perched atop a bed of wreckage, as nature's deceptive peace veiled the scars left behind. 
Just like the quiet aftermath of a tempest, where the winds have screamed their fury, leaving only an eerie silence cloaked in shadows.

Machinegewehr tells a tale of interstellar love with his third EP for Bordello A Parigi, The Cordyceps. Four glimmering works make up this star crossed story of electro disco. The listener is wrapped in warmth from the outset with the sweetened vocals and clean synths of the title piece. “Shivergold”, with its lush pads and arpeggios, pulls you to the floor before the pulsating grooves of “Knight 634” take hold. The final embrace comes with the soothing sounds of “A Girl You Know”. A lost romance from distant world, a kiss goodbye.

Los Fugazzi, the Mexican duo revelation of 2017 makes its first delivery in Playground Records with Vongold as guest voice for an explosive EP. For the last track of the Ep Pardon Moi enter in scene remixing Delete. The Germans, that made the real retro sound of the 80s back to the dancefloors, does not stop making good tracks and this is not the exception. Transforming the voices with synthesizers that make collide the square waves of pulse width modulations with the incisive snares and adding tones to a strident bass, makes the track impossible of not to dance when you listen it.

The next @Ombrainternational vinyl drops March 29 with music from Italy, Germany, and France. Ombra 009 features Order89, Dog.ma, Local Suicide & Curses, and Amarcord *@user-572253535).
 
The latter is an upcoming Italian producer who we highly recommend following.  In the last months Amarcord released a collaborative EP with Speaking Minds on Alex Niggemann's Aeon label, completed by a remix of the mighty Bawrut, and another EP on the Canadian label My Favorite Robot Records remixed by Man Power and Boot & Tax. Later in 2019 wenwill see his music featured on labels such as Jennifer Cardini's Correspondent.

On an already high-quality release, his track ‘trees’ really stood out to us and goes to show his many musical influences from Ambient, Krautrock, New Wave, Disco to Techno.

After an impressive year plenty of sonic provocations, solid productions on such imprints as Awen, Natura Viva, Chrom or Sincopat, and once he recently left his significant role in shaping and performing techno and electronic music live in many venues such as Tanzhaus West (Frankfurt), Ritter Butzke (Berlin), RX (Istanbul), Razzmatazz (Barcelona), ClubNL (Netherlands), Laut (Barcelona), Plastic (Belgrade) or Fundbureau (Hamburg) – to name a few -, Fernando Lagreca is back with the announcement of his forthcoming album “Infamous” –relieving the highly acclaimed “Control” LP in 2014- on his own label, Beautiful Accident. 

The new full length will become, without a doubt, Lagreca’s most adventurous and fearless album in his entire career as a musician. Channelling this defiant approach, Lagreca’s new live set it shows his own brooding militancy and darkly stylish aesthetic. The concept sets a stage consisting of synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and efx processors that allow the artist to create intricate sequences on the fly, keeping the same freedom he uses to have at studio with only hardware gear, without the need of a laptop or computer, developing unique sounding palettes that go from techno to ambient, and from broken beats to modern urban harmonies, and back.
