This is the mix I did for Halloween 2020, after when Halloween used to be a "thing". This is a PUMPIN' & high BPM mix; perfect for working out or wildin' out. "Thriller" as a nod to Michael Jackson, but "A Classic" because I pulled most tracks from my "Classics" folder, which is where I file remixes with classic vocals. I have some heavy Tekno in the mix, but hopefully you enjoy the remixes that I used. The vocals on almost every track are classic, from genres that span House, Techno, Pop, Trance, and even a twist of Hip-Hop, and vocals that span from the 80’s to 2020. Lots of vocals in this mix since I was DJing for a large crowd that consisted of a lot of commercial music listeners, but I threw in an underground twist to introduce them to them to underground sounds ;)

A Classic Thriller (Halloween 2020) - David Paul

Hello everyone, thank you for tuning in to my mix, Underground Teknology. This is a live recording from my set my afterhours in August, which was literally held underground. Not Your Ordinary Techno _ 02

Here’s another live and unedited mix from afterhours for you. This was immediately after Nicole Moudaber’s set at Halcyon, so I was definitely “in the mood” for some more Techno. I do end with some good Tech House though. I use tracks from my favorites like Durtysoxxx, Metodi Hristov, Kaiserdisco, Pleasurekraft, Carlo Lio, Mario Ochoa, Trent Cantrelle, and two other I’d especially like to mention. 

First of which is person that has some really great mashups, I even used 2 of them. His name is Nefelibata Jr. The mashups I used were using Another Club by Radio Slave, and the other was with U R Sleeping, which I also had in my Coco Maya mix from 2016.

The second is by an artist who has been putting out some really great Tech House, Ramon Bedoya. I first found him when I found “Moskito”, my favorite track for March and April “I’m high as motha fucka, fly as a mutha fucka”; keep an eye on this guy if you love Tech House with percussions.

This is a live a recording from my set at Monroe in San Francisco in which I followed d.Santis ( @dsantismusic ) of my Funky Teknomics team, and opened for my good friend Scottie Elliot aka Richard Mixon. Being that it was at Monroe, it was another sleepless 24 hours by the time I got off the decks.

I start off with a Deep Tech track and quickly move to Tech and Techno, and end it off with House to set up Richard Mixon properly. I hope you enjoy.
