There is a reason why Eric Prydz, one of the world’s most highly regarded and respected DJs and producers in dance music history, decided for Jeremy Olander to become the first ever artist to receive a multi-release deal from the selective Swede. He proved Eric’s insights correct as his first two releases were the label’s biggest Beatport sellers in 2011. Little surprise than that Prydz handpicked Olander and fellow Scandinavian Fehrplay to helm the inaugural Pryda Friends Tour, which kicks off in North America August 8.

‘Petroleum’ expands Jeremy’s poignant and deep progressive sound to new heights, and will sure to be heard in clubs and festivals throughout world, much like his March Beatport Top 10 hit ‘Let Me Feel'. His music has been supported by some of dance music’s most prominent DJs; legendary British tastemaker Pete Tong championed both ‘Fairfax’ and ‘Rypamont’ on his BBC Radio 1 for two consecutive weeks upon their release in 2011, and later invited Olander to be featured on his ‘15 Minutes of Fame’ segment later that year. Since then Olander's releases have graced the likes of Toolroom Records, Armada and Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, and has been pushed by icons like John Digweed, all while Olander has concurrently nurtured his darker Techno alias Dhillon, which has seen releases on fellow Swedish legend Adam Beyer's label Drumcode. 

Elaborating on his upcoming Pryda Friends release, Jeremy says: 

"'The 'Petroleum' track first started out as a tool. I wanted to make something fresh, big and with emotional vocals that I could end my sets with. I premiered it a show I did in Stockholm with Above & Beyond earlier this year and people instantly started asking me about what track it was, which was a little but surprising since the vocals are Swedish", Olander says. 

"I think that just goes to show that these particular vocals by Kent transcend any language barrier and simply just add an extra layer of emotion to the record", he continues. 

"At that point I never thought it would actually see the light of day but a couple of weeks later I sent it to my friend Adrian (Lux), who's friends with Jocke, the singer in Kent, and he asked if he could pass it along to him. A couple of days later I heard from Jocke and we for a coffee to talk and I found that the entire band really liked the track and wanted to see it get an official release. With Kent being the legendary band that they are, releasing this track is such a great honor, " Olander finishes. 

The ‘Petroleum’ release will be accompanied by the Pryda Friends Tour with label mate Fehrplay.  Playing a mixture of back-to-back and individual sets, Olander and Fehrplay will play a very exclusive run of five dates kicking off August 9 in Los Angeles.

Following Bob Sinclar’s white island themed podcast, ‘Axtone Presents’ is happy to welcome Swedish DJ, producer, and songwriter, Adrian Lux to the airwaves. Playing an essential part in Axtone’s history with his 2010 anthem ‘Teenage Crime’, Adrian returns to Axtone for his overdue follow-up in the form of ‘Torn Apart’.

Having made a name for himself fusing his own style of Indie and Dance, Adrian first broke onto the scene via his 2010 single ‘Strawberry’. After earning a Grammy nomination and becoming certified Platinum in Australia, for ‘Teenage Crime’, Adrian released his self-titled album in 2012 on Ultra Records, featuring singles such as ‘Burning’, ‘Boy’, and ‘Fire’.

After debuting his impending single on Axtone, Adrian progresses into the podcast highlighting artists such as Gregor Tresher and Paul Kalkbrenner for his influencers and top tunes. Naming ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac as his guilty pleasure, Adrian moves into the mix focusing on the deeper and more melodic side of house music, featuring tracks from Eric Prydz, Pig & Dan, and Fehrplay.

Using the platform to debut Adrian’s new single, ‘Axtone Presents’ continues to surprise and innovate, while featuring renowned artists from all over the world. With numerous curveballs still to come, fans and listeners alike can look forward to exciting times for the future of Axtone and ‘Axtone Presents’.

Ankous starts off 2017 for Swerve Digital with a fine selection of well-crafted Tech House tracks, which showcases his fantastic technical and melodic abilities in his mystifying and suspenseful productions. This EP consists of 3 originals mixes, with the lead track from the release being remixed by Martin Hellfritzsch and Thijs Haal.

Hitting off with his Original Mix entitled ‘Believe in House’ this track showcases Ankous’s production ability, with industrial layers from the outset. Straight in from the first few seconds Ankous establishes a rolling drop that sets the tone of the track; hard hitting and an ideal floorfiller. The vocals layered over the top keeps it contemporary to the style of house/tech house that is circulating at the moment and with a breakdown and build like none other this really sets a level for the EP. 

Moving into the first remix of ‘Believe in House’ from Martin Hellfritzsch. Hellfritzsch has taken the original and broken it down into a chunkier tech house sound. Minimising on the layers the vibe remains the same of a feel goodness to it however draws in on the B Side undertones of what we would expect from a remix. A quality one by all accounts and the vocals in place sit perfectly for this rearranged track.

Second up on the remix of ‘Believe in House’ is Thijs Haal bringing a heavier bass line from the outset by bringing in his rolling chunky rhythm to the track giving it a new lease of life. Taking no prisoners, the layers explored on this track draw inspiration from some of the biggest floor fillers of 2016 and chopping up the vocals gives it a darker edgier vibe. 

Next up is ‘The Funk’. Typical to his production, expect nothing less than high builds and drops from the outset and throughout. Honing in more to the tech house vibe this track is funky, and guaranteed to get peoples feet moving. 

Finally, but by no means least is the chunkiest of Ankous’s EP, Ladder. The rolling rhythm throughout deepens as the track takes shape bringing in that tech house undertone we all know and crave.
