Jazzy, an unprecedented collaboration between headlabel Tha_Guts and São Paulo producer Atzøk, promotes the third release of the label DSRPTV rec. The EP features the original tracks of the duo 'Jazzy' and 'Kitchen', circumspect and multiform structures in gently accumulative dynamics. 'Jazzy' also takes a remix by Akin Deckard, a version self-styled as Legato Acid Remix, and 'Kitchen' gets a deconstructed and atmospheric edition of the label itself, ending the EP's magnetic narrative. The work consolidates DSRPTV's aesthetic proposal by presenting deviant and unprecedented sounds, resuming here the singularity of bebop jazz under experimental lenses, in the three-dimensionality of an electronic environment.

Arch was born in 2020 when a strange and invisible beast issued from the depths and caught us all off-guard. The antidote for three electronic-music-lifers in Berlin was to create a series of carefully curated live concerts, an exercise in the new and bizarre language of socially distanced happenings. 

Great joy was to be found amidst those challenging months. Boundaries were crossed, expectations exceeded, and a wave of new music came into existence as the artists on stage adapted and opened up to nutritiously rich, meditative zones. Hybrid strains of experimental, avant-garde, IDM, electro-acoustic and post-club ambience were witnessed and enjoyed responsibly. 

Three sold out concerts later, we find 2020 drawing to a close with ‘Life on Small Planets,’ a 10 track curated album featuring many of the artists who performed at arch. 

Featuring Amandra, Fred Mann, Inland & John Gürtler, Jamaica Suk, Johanna Knutsson, Kev Sheridan, Magna Pia, Mathias Schober, Merrin Karras and Perm & HAL, ‘Life on Small Planets’ is a refreshing reminder of the power and importance of contemporary (electronic) music.

Exclusive: Super Drama - One On One

The third and final part of Super Drama's first chapter of their Family Drama series comes to an end with four cuts from talented artists out of the East London queer scene and beyond. As on the series first part Super Drama themselves contribute an own piece of music to the third episode, this time it's the break-influenced take One On One. Latter reflects the duo's musical range or rather their creative versatility, their talent to overcome genre-boundaries and still sound Super-Drama-esque. Starting off with a lush bass line and a creaky almost bleepy synth, it's inevitabe that One On One aims to be played out in the clubs. An intermezzo with some deeper sound sequences in the track's middle part combined with a cutted and seemingly pitched vocals introduce the listener to a following change of the bass line, which at first has a break-ish note and then goes over to be stomping. The deep chords emphasize the UK-vibe of One On One at the end and certainly make the track an outstanding approach due to its well-fitting arrangement and fusion of various sounds and elements.

Incisive and breathtaking, David Ponziano is a Madrilenian artist, who radiates personality inside and outside the DJ booth. This is precisely his trump card, the one that gives him the winning hand in his moves. He has the club in his veins, many hours of experience behind him, a wide vision and few prejudices. These virtues make it hard to resist his musical assaults and the public in his habitual residences, at parties such as Replay, Reclub or Motel, is well aware of that.
 
His sessions are constructive, formed by musical lines that diversify and combine to build a union of sounds that can range between disco, house, deep, techno or acid, without losing coherence within the musical discourse. He is definitely an old school DJ, one of those who knows what he is doing and enjoys dancing and feeling the beat.
 
The preamble of his relationship with electronic music comes from the mid-90s, when the last gasps of EBM and new wave conquered his heart to the rhythm of sharp bases, aggressive guitars and rough synths. From those days to the present time the paths have been many and diverse, reaching their peak and acquiring sense in the mid-2000s, when he began to release his first music publications under the pseudonym Play The Game. In the meantime, he studies sound engineering and launches his own mixing and mastering studio, Peak Studio. Nowadays and after several and successful adventures as a promoter in other brands like MOTEL, he is running his own club: HALLEY.
 
His career as DJ and producer is acquiring greater dimensions day by day with releases on labels like Alma Soul Music, Lust Recordings, Cuatro Records or Parallel, as well as with remixes for artists like Alexi Delano, Matthias Vogt (Motorcitysoul), Julian Sanza or Boghosian & Torquato and with his active residences in Replay and Reclub. In brief, the last four years have been very intense, enabling him to be positioned as one of the most active and popular artists in Madrid's underground scene.
