No More Falling Down (version 1.0)

"Stay - Stay was written after speaking to / reading about the effects of dementia on being able to recognise loved ones. One of the most impactful stories I heard was the story of a person whose mother had dementia. When visiting her, she gradually forgot that he was her son, but there was something about him she liked so asked him to stay and wait with her for her son to arrive. A similar story was told to me at the centre when we visited, with loved ones not always being recognised but the person with dementia retaining some memory of them."

Bills biography:
Bill Black
Bill was born on 19th June 1938 in Hurlford, weighing in at a whopping 14lbs 5oz!!!  Yes, more than a stone!!  After school, he joined the mining industry and went ‘doon the pit’.  He moved to Massey Ferguson, married Annette, and they have 2 boys, Jim and David.  Bill then moved on to Glenfield and then worked with the police in Kilmarnock before retiring in 2003.  He has 4 grandchildren and a great granddaughter Marnie – he is such a doting great grandparent!  At family gatherings, lubricated by a single malt, Bill will entertain with his wonderful old school voice, covering Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Matt Monroe with aplomb!  Bill enjoys Men’s Group at the Resource Centre with his good friend Ronnie – they are quite a double act!

Written with fellow artist and Producer Josh Collopy, this song was born out of their very conversation about who would be there for them in those moments when worlds turn upside down and chaos takes over, as it inevitably does in the pursuit of a dream. This song was co-produced by Simon Jacobson (KREAM, iamsimon), mixed by Jason Haag and mastered by Reuben Cohen (Lurrsen Mastering).
