You know that feeling where a track just feels right. This happens when your heart, your soul, and your mind are in sync. Your heart responds to tempo, your brain responds to frequency, and your soul responds to melody. You are now in sync and your body wants to get up and move.

Our bodies have an autonomic mechanism that syncs with strong, external rhythms, pulses, or beats.  This phenomenon is known as entrainment. We entrain to rhythms around us all the time, although we are usually unaware of it.

The relationship between the external rhythms and our inner rhythms or pulses is inseparable. In fact our internal rhythms will speed up or slow down to match a stronger external rhythm.

Less energy is used when 2 objects are entrained. In other words, we consume less energy when we are in step with surrounding energy, and we waste energy when we are not in sync with the greater, surrounding energy.

Think back to your most unforgettable club nights or parties. Remember the energy you felt when you moved as one with like- minded people who are also in sync. That is the power of electronic music.

This is the reason why I am a DJ. It is my hope you find moments of entrainment with these mixes.
