The Kazbah Burning Man Sunrise Set 2016

20+ years ago (????!!!!!), I was the resident DJ at the hottest club in South Beach, flying to Miami every Friday and back to NY every Sunday. I think this mixtape (freshly converted to MP3!) from Liquid Nightclub recorded in October 1996 best represented my style back then. Special thanks to Chris Paciello and Ingrid Casares for giving me the chance and thanks to my old friend Stuart for saving the tape after all of these years...Enjoy!

On July 4th 1998, I got a call from the owner of Twilo because Junior Vasquez wasn't going to show up at his weekly residency. Playing a 10+ hour can be a challenge, but I got some great mixes out of it. Here is one from around 6am using 3 turntables, 1 Urei 1620 mixer with 3 way crossover and 5 band EQ, 1 pioneer CDJ 700, 1 DOD d12 digital delay, and 1 insane Steve Dash Phazon sound system that made everything sound that much better...  #twilo #mixtapemondays
