From mixed sources, we have gathered the following information about the artist currently known as Davison:

He is a man, a gentle soul, a music maker, an associate of Mary Jane, a fan of cinnamon, an inhabitant of Planet Earth, and an avid omnivore.

This is a man who keeps his cards close to his chest, who avoids confrontation with others, who ventures into the wilderness outside his door only to be inspired by sights and sounds, and returns to transform the resulting electrical impulses from neurological activity into kinetic energy via his home studio.

Davison’s wish for anonymity, he tells us, is a way to make listeners of his music imagine that he is a beat-master cyborg with dashing good looks and fists of steel, living in an MTV Cribs-esque Bat Cave type abode. The truth, he assures us, is only half as flattering.

With his debut beat ‘Chrysalis’, Davison chops up smooth jazz piano, brass bass and sax over a thumping part-synthesized-part-sampled beat, glued together with contorted popstar crooning vocals. This lo-fi, chilled-out beat crescendos into a shimmering, synthetic, bit-crushed climax, painting a picture of a butterfly breaking free from its pupal state. The track showcases the young producer’s ability to source material from numerous genres to sample, marry and transform into something fresh and exciting, and his bravado for balancing sonic beauty with raw destructive grit.

Watch out for much more from this promising new producer over the course of 2015; this chap has a few rabbits in his hat, we assure you.
