Camping with my brother up at Ross Lake.

It was a rainy, cold, windy weekend, and it rained too much to even set up a tent. So instead we camped out in the car.

But walking down a lonely mountain trail, in the drizzle and mist, and seeing the hulking faces of giant peaks passing in and out of view as clouds blew by, was a powerful, mystical experience.

Was listening to the original version of this tune while I was out there, and I felt like it deserved an adventure trance treatment.

A collaboration between Dawnchaser and Timbor, this song comes out of drives across the Cascade Mountains, on the legendary Cascade Highway, to gigs in Eastern Washington and Idaho. Blending everything from dubstep breaks, to acoustic guitars, to classic anthem trance (with little hints of electro), this tune freely explores the many sounds of the Pacific Northwest, and captures that spirit of adventure that lives in all of us.

Classic Trance is BACK!

It's music for anyone who loves going on kickass adventures with good friends. Inspired by the spring break adventures of Dawnchaser and his college pals in April 2007, it's a journey through classic trance sounds, with a few modern twists. The Original mix blends heavy drums, deep electro bass, and uplifting melodies with that signature Dawnchaser vibe to bring back the classic sounds of the turn of the millennium. Suncraft delivers an uplifting trance mix with driving basslines, lovely pianos, and some growly analog textures. The Gone Fishin' Mix is more experimental, dropping the tempo down to 128 bpm, to combine funky house rhythms with uplifting melodies, lush pianos, and dubstep breaks.

Classic Trance is BACK! And it's taking NAMES.
