We are very happy to have Frau Mü aka @maikem96 join us for our 36th episode of Tunes to Daydream! Frau Mü is a DJ from Aachen – currently based in Greifswald – and co-founder of the collective @kinky-mush.

Frau Mü delivered a mix containing tracks from Synth Wave over Italo Disco to Indie Dance. The mix makes your mind drift away to slapping snares, arpeggiated oscillator basslines and catchy melodies inspired by the synthesizer sounds of the 80s.

ZENA MIXSERIES NO. 113 - Goldie Plam

Goldie Palm has always been a big fan of music - while listening and dancing at home, in clubs or at concerts and she’s having a hidden passion for singing. Early 2019 she started mixing tracks just for fun and quickly became pretty passionate about it. Since November 2020 she's hosting a radio show called Palm Paradise, which is regularly broadcasted by RBL Berlin. About two years ago she fell in love with Leipzig, said bye to Berlin and shortly after became a member of Vacanza Leipzig e.V. In her sets and on the dance floor she’s serving all the feels, ranging from dreamy to bassy house music up to indie dance, synth-wave and other sweet pearls of electronic music by constantly ending  in full high energy mode. Basically on a mission to make some hearts glow, 'cause 'the music’s no good without you baby' and it's more fun if we dance together.

"My attitude towards gender (in)equality in club culture & electronic music has changed a lot since I moved from Berlin to Leipzig two years ago. There’s a lot of support within the scene, especially between flinta* artists and this is a big blessing and something that really keeps me moving. In the beginnings I often had the feeling of just getting booked, mainly by male promoters, to fill some kind of missing „female gap“ in a line up and being quite replaceable like it wasn’t really about me or the music I was playing. Over the past two years a lot has changed and I would say awareness towards inequality got bigger, but I can mainly talk about the experiences I made in Leipzig and surroundings and there are still situations that teach me different from time to time. I would say it’s generally hard to prove yourself to promoters as relatively new and autonomous Dj without an agency."

ANKA~ Hallo Welt @ Elipamanoke

This mix hits different. I recorded this at the end of summer and was a bit shy to upload it since it's not my usual style. But it's Christmas, so I thought, why not? On Christmas, we share. ;) It has some funky bootlegs, yes, but apart from that, it's more housy and groovy, which means no trance today. I also think it has a fun summer mood, which can make those winter days more colorful in your ears. It's also really danceable and has some electro house and UK garage vibes. To sum it up, it's totally genre-fluid but no trance (except one track, haha, but exceptions prove the rule)
