Daylight Music Productions represents a few select artists & bands in the UK to help them achieve their aspirations in the music industry. Through a collaboration with the National Skills Academy & Academy of Music & Sound, we are currently working with exciting talented musicians, singer songwriters and composers.

We are looking for unsigned artists (musicians, vocalists, composers songwriters etc.) within the UK to collaborate and network together with the possibility of landing a 12 month contract with DMP.

Singer/Songwriter out of Colchester, Essex.

Can't remember when it all started, but ever since I was a youngster i've been writing music. If you want to categorise me then I would say that I write edgy pop.

I wrote all of the songs, sang them and can play guitar, bass, drums and piano.

All of the demo's were recorded using Garageband on my iphone. Mostly in the bathroom (for the acoustics), unless of course it's occupied, then it's the bedroom!

All of the songs are quite different, so please listen to a few of them before making your mind up about me.

Marissa (Artist name MYANA) grew up loving Dancehall and Soca, which is very apparent in the music she creates. Her Guyanese heritage has a massive influence on the music she creates, liveliness in her performance. If you've had the chance to see her live I'm sure you can agree she is on to  “MASH UP THE PLACE!!” as her fiery energetic spirit surely raises the roof! 
In 2013, Marissa became the lead Singer of the Brixton based reggae band RawFire, the band performed at numerous well renowned venues and events including:  the Royal Festival Hall, Oxjam Festival, The Ritzy, The Big Noise Festival, Stratford Theatre, Bush Hall, Brixton Splash Carnival (2014) and many more exciting venues.
Marissa wanted to bring her music back to her hometown of Camden Town and began performing at various Open Mic Nights in the area. She was spotted by the band Jada Funk, who were stunned by her vibe and invited her to join their house band, where she now regularly sings at the iconic venue Jazz After Dark in Soho, where Amy Winehouse first began her career.
In 2017, Marissa competed in the Open Mic UK competition, where over 10,000 artists from all over the UK compete in a series of local and regional heats. Successfully reaching the Grand Finals, Marissa performed her single ‘Like A Jamaican’ at the Birmingham NEC Arena and received the 'Showcase Award'. 

In 2021 Marissa then went on to study for her MA in Commercial Songwriting and Music Production at Tileyard Studios in Kings Cross.  Following this she the then released her debut single  "Move Your Body Girl" plus her project "I Love Guyana" for the Guyana Tourism dep. Marissa then decided to change her artist name to MYANA to represent a mash up of Marissa and Guyana paying homage to her hometown and went on her release  "Do it @ Work"  She is currently working on her next project and which is is set to blow your mind! @itsjustmyana
