Dieses Mal hat es etwas länger gedauert, bis mein Beitrag zu den 52 Songs online gehen konnte. Das lag nicht daran, dass mir kein Song zum Thema Lagerfeuer eingefallen wäre, im Gegenteil. Das Thema ist eigentlich genau mein Ding, denn früher war kaum eine Party vor mir und meiner Klampfe sicher. Zu meinen besten Zeiten hatte ich so eineinhalb Stunden Programm. Dann kamen “Die Doofen” und meine Frau behauptet, seit dem wäre ich nicht mehr in der Lage gewesen, vernünftige Songs zu spielen. Dabei waren auch schon immer Torfrock und Illegal im Repertoire  . Ich habe nicht den Anspruch, ein großartiger Sänger zu sein – bezeichnend dabei vielleicht zu erwähnen, dass manche Leute mir auf Parties Münzen hinwarfen, damit ich aufhöre zu spielen.   

Jedenfalls hat Konnas Thema Erinnerungen geweckt und Ihr müsst jetzt damit leben. Ein paar Songs in Reihe gebracht und in ein paar Takes eingespielt. Anhören auf eigene Gefahr. Ist nur Spaß, ich will doch nur spielen

Samy Deluxe - "FEUER, VERBRANNT, ASCHE" REMIX

This is my remix for Seven Lions track "Days to Come" (which features vocals from Fiora) for this month's Beatport Remix Competition. 

I wanted to introduce my 'M4 Monster' and contrast it with the angelic vocals of Fiora. The track is basically a battle of 'beauty and the beast' with a style that I think reflects OWSLA and my direction in music.

This is an original composition performed live on two Novation Launchpads in User 1 mode. The two MIDI controllers are playing original samples in a sequence to create the sound. The right hand controls most of the tuneful sounds whilst the left hand is responsible for keeping in time, playing a custom drum kit and various FX and vocal loops.
