Just in time for Halloween, Wah Wah 45s unleash a splendidly spooky seven incher from Brighton’s very own Lee “Scratch” Perry, the one and only Richie Phoe. His take on the Jacko classic is a brutally bass worrying dance floor dub delight, complete with sinister sound effects and cackles galore! On the flip, Richie gives Leon Haywood’s much sampled classic, “I Want’a Do Something Freaky To You” the deathly dub treatment too – look out for those pertifying piano licks!

Hailing from Brighton, UK, Richie Phoe's trademark reggae productions have garnered attention from tastemakers and DJs alike. In addition to accolades from Rob Da Banks' Sunday Best Recordings, Richie was personally commissioned by Rob to remix Max Sedgley's Celebrity. A Jon Kennedy remix for Grand Central soon followed, and yet more support would come as Sinful was included in the esteemed Rob Da Bank and Chris Coco “Listen Again” compilation.

In 2008 Richie released the critically lauded “Eye on the Prize EP”, featuring UK Reggae legend Tippa Irie, which gained BBC radio play from Huw Stephens, Mark Lammar, Rob Da Bank and an interview on Steve Lamacq's Radio 2 show..

Richie's first forays into the world of music production began on his Amiga 500, back in the early '90s; by 1999 he'd progressed to an MPC 2000 and began making his own beats, inspired by the likes of De La Soul and D.I.T.C. As his style progressed he started collecting reggae vinyl and began DJing at reggae and hip-hop nights weekly in clubs and bars in Portsmouth. Bringing deep and positive vibes to the dance floor, and more recently working with Wah Wah 45s’ very own Resonators, Richie has earned the aforementioned title of “Brighton's Lee Scratch Perry”.

Ladies and gentlemen we are proud to present you the long awaited new mini ep from Timewarp inc. A brand new release with two fresh songs under the title 'Dubwarp' is coming out on your digital music world. The release features great collaborations with Timewarp inc’s, favorite and special fellow friends and artists: Al The X-King (Guitar), Georges Perin (Vocals), Gobey (Vocals), RSN (Scratches).

The opening track 'Theory of Revolution’ stands out in the area of dub, reggae, beats and roots and features one of our favorite vocalists, the half French-half Greek Georges Perin, participating with his talented voice, delivering unique soulful-funk vocals. The lyrics were written by his lyric mate Panagiotis Skraparlis. Also featured in the release is a long eight-minute dub version with more music, fewer vocals, dubbed & burned with space echoes to trip out your mind and stack you in the mood.

Second track ‘Liberty is Our Destiny’ brings back the breaks in a dub style with plenty of funk and big bass concept. Here we get the strong vocals and lyrics from another great talent, Gobey, the MC & vocalist from Balkan Riddms and Just Dread. Born in Africa, bred in Greece, this is the man behind the riddim, authentic, real and expressing to the fullest representing one love ideology. Yet another good fellow friend, RSN, appears with his special recorded scratches for the song. An instrumental version is included on the release, as we mind our fans, lovers and collectors, for less vocals music.

Al The X-King is responsible for all the great guitars lines, hooks and melodies on both songs, he is also one of the founders of the well know great Greek band The Burger Project, an extremely talented musician, vocalist and a great guitar player!

Lisboa - one of the oldest european cities - holds many teasures. Architecture, food, laid back feeling, always ready to embrace those who visit it and showcasing the immense spectrum of sounds and music from the 4 corners of Earth. Alex Soulbrigada and Deydread, as true archeologists of music, recently dug out a gem of a 45 in one of the many vinyl stores of the Portuguese capital and meticuluosly sampled and chopped the tune into a soulful and sunny - just like Lisbon - hip hop tune. This is their first collaboration and in order to celebrate this, they are giving it away - FOR FREE! All MC´s, DJ´s and producers are invited to download the track and break it down which ever way they please - and please let Alex and Dedy see the end result!

Ramrock Red Records are so proud to present the first single release ‘Take A Left’ unleashed from internationally acclaimed vocalist/producer/DJ Joseph Malik’s forthcoming album, ‘Diverse Part 2’. Co-written and produced with Joseph’s long-term friend + DJ partner since the 80’s, Saleem Andrew McGroarty aka Sound Signals, ‘Take A Left’ is a stomping RnB monster of epic proportions that would be at home in a 1950’s juke joint from across the tracks to a present day shebeen in a dingy basement club. Drawing their inspiration from the darkest recesses of the musical repertoire of Dr. John, Muddy Waters, Allen Toussaint and a generation of blues artists who travelled alone with their guitars in a gunny sack along lonely back roads in the pale Delta moonlight, Joseph and Saleem, along with a stellar line up of Scottish musicians, have created something akin to musical redemption. Ramrock Red Records boss, Jo Wallace gives ‘Take A Left’ an additional remix by taking Joseph’s impromptu jam from the front porch of a wooden cabin, along an echoing corridor and into the confines of a compact Bayou studio….you will sense the darkness but surely see the light.

Joseph Malik has always had a great ear for finding artists to work with on his projects and on ‘Take a Left’, he has teamed up with Scotland’s finest soul brothers and sisters to provide the soul power to help him complete his mission to record the best in Soul, Jazz and Blues music. With Joseph on lead vocals, backing vocals are provided by Polish vocalist/ Malik Orchestra violinist, Dominika Czerniga, now based in the South Side of Edinburgh and renowned for her powerful vocal delivery with an impressive operatic range. Malik says of Australian jazz trombonist Chris Greive, ‘we would never dare sample a horn from a record when the world’s best lives just around the corner!’ and along with the harp man from Edinburgh’s premier blues band, ‘Black Diamond Express’ and musical enigma, Tom McClelland, they create a relentless melody that drives the track as they let the notes interweave, cemented by Kris Howden, one of the South Side’s soul brothers + a major player on Edinburgh’s live music scene, with his big, fat, nasty bass line. Recorded at Rusty’s Yard in Edinburgh’s Easter Road by ex-drummer & founding member of Edinburgh’s punk band ‘The Fire Engines’, Rusty Burn on the recording desk, and mixed down by Saleem Andrew McGroarty for Sound Signals at The Sound Still, Leith, the end result feels more like a session straight out of the Stax or Atlantic studios – ‘Take A Left’ will lead you straight onto the talced dance floor.
