本⾸詩歌由 四句所組成，每句三⼩節，惟第三句多了⼀⼩節。本編曲藉由發展第三句的拱形動機 A-Bb-D-C（歌詞：深願在此），來加強原本即存在於旋律結構內的「延伸」現象，呼應歌詞中的『在此』、『留此』、『直到』，隱喻詩⼈渴慕在神的⾯光中逗留的情景。

THE PREPARATION OF THE BRIDE

A counterpart is what the Lord is after.
As a Bridegroom He’s longing for her.
He is yearning deep within Him to be satisfied - 
That's to gain a bride who's always by His side, 
One who can love Him with
All her heart, be His match.
He’s dreaming for that day to come 
When she'll be joined to Him as one.
A blessed sight to see - 
The bridegroom with His bride
In that wedding day.

The Bride is getting ready for the wedding.
Second garment now she’s preparing.
She'll be clothed with the fine linen that is bright and clean,
And present herself - pure, spotless, glorious!
Buying now costly oil,
