Amor Fati translates to "Love of Fate" in Latin. The phrase is a prominent part of the story line in the movie "A Good Person" with Morgan Freeman.. I watched the movie about 6 months ago at a time when I honestly felt like the universe was conspiring against me. I had been writing several songs with a concerted effort not to box them into a project too soon or making them fit together. I just wanted to let whatever come to me come and create authentic music that I resonated with. Amor Fati is that brainchild.

Not wanting more or less, being present and taking everything as a positive is the ethos of Amor Fati. No matter what, the belief is that all occurrences are for the better. That's how I used to look at things up until probably the past 5 years of my life. My perspective got jaded to the point I thought the universe was conspiring against me. I know in the grand scheme I'm closer to an ant than a God but that doesn't mean I'm not here to experience a positive life on this planet.

So no matter what has, will and won't happen I have Amor Fati.
