"Since I was a kid, I spent all my free time with music. Especially MTV and the German channel VIVA. I never learned an instrument, but I always had a passion for music. Music is more than just melodies to me. It is shape-shifting and transformation, but also emotion. It is a story to tell, meditation and medicine to heal and recover.

Since 2010 I am part of the festival NACHTDIGITAL in Olganitz, Germany. With NACHTDIGITAL, I jumped much deeper into the wave of electronic music. In 2015 I started collecting vinyl records, loved to dig around in the world and played mixes for me with music I love – '80s & '90s House, Electronic and Techno. 

I am also part of the collective N-ICE! from Leipzig and recently of the queer collective RAWMANTIQUE from Dresden. I played at various festivals, clubs and events like FEEL FESTIVAL, Objekt Klein (Dresden), HÖR (Berlin), Westhafen (Leipzig), Sektor Evolution (Dresden), TBA (Dresden), just to name a few. 

Music for everyone, around the world connects us with our souls. That is what music creates for me as well. I love it with all my heart."

DJ, vocalist, promoter & producer, Michelle Manetti blossomed from being an underage clubber in the Late 90s UK Rave scene, into a well-loved and well-respected DJ and stalwart of East London’s Queer scene. With over 17 years of DJing under her belt, it’s safe to say she’s no novice to the decks, with the passion, skill, panache, and record collection of a well-established and well-refined DJ.

Michelle has been an active advocate for supporting and promoting marginalised and underrepresented artists in the music scene, since her humble early years. She was the founder and Chief Editor of the esteemed but now defunct female-run, female-focused music blog Lipstick Disco. She is also the promoter of the bi-monthly female-focused queer girl party Fèmmme Fraîche at London’s prestigious queer hot-spot Dalston Superstore; which as well as offering a safe space and fun-filled party for queer womxn, Fèmmme Fraîche also showcases female, female-identified and non-binary House and Techno DJs, visual artists and performers; with Michelle as a resident and guest DJs such as Honey Dijon, Peach Rroxymore, Louisahhh, India Jordan, DJ Heather, Joyce Muniz, Nightwave, DJ Paulette, Smokin Jo, Alinka, Hannah Holland, Lauren Flax, CCL, Kate Simko and Jaguar as well as local, grass-roots DJs. Michelle is also resident and co-curator of ‘Adonis Pour Femme’ which is the female-focused room at the infamous London queer-rave Adonis.

Besides her work as a promoter, Michelle is a revered DJ in her own right, in 2021 she was selected as one of 10 residents for London’s most loved DIY venue The Cause. She also has a strong presence on the East London underground queer scene, with residencies at her own party Fèmmme Fraîche and Adonis as well regular guest appearances at parties such as He.She.They, Little Gay Brother, Horsemeat Disco, Percolate, & Homoelectric and venues such as The Cause, Nightales and Dalston Superstore & can often be seen playing alongside the likes of Horsemeat Disco, Prosumer, Peach, Shanti Celeste, Ok Williams, Orla, Roi Perez, Tama Sumo and more.

As a Vocalist, Michelle has lent her voice to tracks for Third-Son, Lauren Flax, Sophie Lloyd & Chris Massey and has many unreleased works in the pipeline. She’s also the frontwoman for The Off Key Hat whose span of releases on ISM, Untracked, Hobbes Music and the cult vinyl-only label Dissident have received remixes from the likes of Ashley Beedle, Cosmodelica, Yam Who?, Daniele Baldelli & Dionigi and much love, play and support from the likes of Bicep and Steffi.

Dipping her toes into production, 2020 saw Michelle’s first solo release on Super Drama records, with Premiere play support from Jaguar’s BBC1 introducing the show and her remix for Falle Nioke on Prah Recordings in 2021 received early support and play from Mary Anne Hobbes on BBC radio 6.

Musically, Michelle is A self-confessed genre non-conformist, having experimented with various sounds over the years, she is well known for her eclecticism and dynamic sets, drifting seamlessly between House, Techno, Acid, Rave, Leftfield, Breaks and Disco with a particular persuasion for Jackin, beats, funky grooves, and soulful melodies. she’s likely to take you on a musical journey on the dancefloor. Es propietario de su sello discográfico, DJ, locutora de radio y consolidado DJ. Dirige su propio proyecto  "Where Were We" que lleva 4 años en acción y el programa recibirá a su invitado número 115 la próxima semana.

El sello WWW lanzó su quinto lanzamiento en febrero del dúo de productores Azole.
