The new Intec release is from Frank Mitchell aka Frankie Bones who is an American based DJ and producer whose played a large role in New Yorks Techno scene. Having been involved in music since the mid 80s, Frankie Bones was one of the first DJs from New Yorks Brooklyn region to gain global success. By the late 80s Frankie Bones was getting regular European bookings following the success of his Bonesbreaks EP series, which released on Underworld Records received global recognition and critical acclaim. During his three decade spanning career Frankie Bones has even released an EP on the iconic Trax Records, which released many of the early records that defined the House and Techno genre. One of his most popular releases was his 1989 release titled Call It Techno which originally came out on Breaking Bones Records, and a firm Carl Cox favourite has now been remastered and rereleased for this special Intec package, which also features one of his new and previously unreleased tracks. Also featuring on the release are two new remix versions provided by Carlo Lio and Raito who each put their individual stamp on things. Carlo Lio is an artist who in between global DJ bookings, has released music on labels including Octopus, SCI+TEC, Turbo, Mood, and Saved Records. French artist Raito is fast rising through the ranks following regular releases Boysnoize Records, along with having also featured on Mako, Origami Sound, Main Course and BNR TRAX. "Call It Techno" has a timeless bass line taken straight from the glory days of Acid House. Filled with retro charm and warehouse party vibes, the vocal tells the story of Technos history, and the pads plus melody are rich in analogue joy. Carlo Lio's remix of "Call It Techno" uses choice snippets of the originals vocal to refine the story it into a powerful chant. This remix is fast and furious with added tension and suspense. Carlo adds his own toughened backing track thats filled with dark atmosphere plus an explosive drop after the main break. Raito's remix of has a bumping groove and stomping kick drum. Thick and chunky, it takes no prisoners with its hard hitting percussion and stabbing sounds. Jacking in every sense of the word, it's summed up nicely by the vocal lyrics "hits you in the face like a hammer! Second of the two original track is "Light It Up" which takes its title from the lyrics of the vocal sample. With spin backs and filter sweeps, the tracks forward momentum is accentuated by a series of bass drops. Lead by the building intensity of a bubbling acid line, the tracks rolling groove is a sure fire party starter. The fifth and final track is a dub mix of Light it up, which with the main vocal removed, focuses on the music only.

Straight up, no nonsense proper techno from start to finish. Cracked open a bottle of rum and was well oiled by the time i started recording. Not a bad Saturday afternoon!

Revelation Of Sound is pleased to present Mary Yuzovskaya. By way of NYC, Berlin and before that Moscow, vinyl only techno DJ, producer and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya has been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 13 years.

Having graced the decks of all Moscow’s hotspots back in the mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she quickly became recognised for both her blisteringly-precise vinyl-only techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft of DJing. Based in New York City since 2013, Mary currently holds a residency at Public Records and solely runs her very own record label called Monday Off, launched in 2017, where she curates and presses work from artists that explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side. After relocating to the US, Mary quickly became a key figure in its scene, performing regularly at different venues including multiple residencies at some of the city’s institutional parties like Unter, where she was a staple for three years, as well as working as a vinyl distribution manager at renowned Brooklyn-based record shop Halcyon.

Mary has been fortunate enough to share the decks with many talented and internationally recognised musicians such as Blazej Malinowski, Claudio PRC, Dino Sabatini, Edit Select, Ness, Xhin, and many others. She has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs and parties across the world, including ://about blank, Basement, Compound (LA), Distillery (Leipzig), OHM, Output (Brooklyn), Propaganda (Moscow), and Tresor, to name only a few.

Berlin Techno 001 - Ben Teufel

Born in Naples in 1989, Diego developed a strong passion for electronic music as he was growing up around Neapolitan club culture as a teenager. 
He started mixing at the age of 16 locally, catching the eye of numerous promoters as he showed talented skills behind the decks. 
In 2011, he was chosen to be part of the infamous Nice To Be project where his collaboration granted him the possibility to grow and push the limits as an artist. It’s when his own style began to shape towards Techno that Diego was inspired to make his own music, and when his unique personality grew as an artist. 
His various releases are among respected labels such as MindTrip Records, Konsequent Records, Nowhere, Etruria Beat, KSR, Nice To Be Rec, Planet Rhythm, Arts e Circular Limited. 
Diego’s career is developing fast with his prominent releases and his experience behind his music knowledge.

Aerodroemme - Ayahuha (Incl. Svarog, NFEREE And Orbital Mechanics Remixes) [NWR020]

Issue number nineteen signed Aerodroemme, an ep of sharp techno music but at the same time elaborated and refined. The ep opens with Ayahuha, rhythmic propping and carried by ethereal pads, Tales from Mount Pleasant, kick in four quarters absorbed by a Moroderian sequencer, closes Crossing Dimensions, a track that pays homage to the detroitian tradition. The three tracks of Aerodroemme are entrusted to three remixers who elaborate their own personal interpretation, Svarog with its dreamlike atmospheres, the dark cut of NFEREE and the night excursion of Orbital Mechanics.
