Holding Out For Love

Mark Kurtis Adams (1956-2022) is the greatest songwriter you've never heard of. We were friends for forty years. Since his passing, I have been combing through his massive catalog of original songs; many co-written with friends, many written solo. It would be a crime for the world to never hear the music I grew up on. Mark gave me permission/freedom to use his music in any way I choose before he died. Here is VOLUME 2 of Mark's music as I have interpreted it.

We all have been there and done this. At a boring meeting or class, semi-watching TV, listening to your spouse, etc. you start to daydream. Your mind wonders far away from where it should be, hence the title.

I am playing the lead guitar and via my breath and keyboard controllers the Swam flute (Bansuri) and the vocal.  Band-in-a-Box is supplying the balance of the tracks using my sound sources.

just a long repetitative song that is very hypnotizing and you feel owerwhelmed with awe when listening. A place I would like to go to.

In memory of my beautiful wife, who recently passed away. She loved the sounds of nature, particularly the chirping of birds in the woods.

Your Beauty

In a region in the South of Mozambique, kanimambo is a word expressing deep gratitude. A Portuguese singer, João Maria Tudela, made a song about it in the early sixties of the last century. I never forgot it, and here is my tribute to him.
