Piano Improvisations #24.8

This is actually the third version of the song. I felt the original idea I’d roughed out with the keyboard and computer could be more interesting. So I reworked the whole track again (twice) adding several ‘hooks’. These were some vocal ‘stabs’, some keyboard/synth riffs as well as writing ( what I hope ) is a more interesting bass line. I beefed up the drum section too. I hope the fun I had creating it is reflected in the overall vibe of the track. Having said all this, the question is: did it actually work?

In America the "roundabout" has been widely used to keep traffic moving effectively through an intersection with more than 2 choices.  This is a musical version of that idea in a theme and variations form.   Artists make choices every time they create, just as in life.  Sometimes we are confident in our choices, other times we're not sure where the road with take us.  It is a beautiful and risky world of free will... that influences us every day and I dare say, keeps us on our toes!

Roundabout

Involved in different local music associations with my clarinet  (in classic and jazzy mode) ,  I also  love to play the guitar, I love to try to create and produce music with Cubase and different other instruments at home. I love all forms of music.
