My idea was to let my creative friends be creative. I made a very open guitar track first.This was my message I sent to them:
The title references a game the surrealists played (cadavre exquis).I use the idea loosely here. Think of this like a piece of paper that can be cut , manipulated,and folded as needed...once you alter it, you pass that along to then be changed by the next person. There is no "wrong" way to do this.

If you are interested let me know. I will randomly pick someone to start, and then they will pick another person from the list. If you know someone who might like this...please let me know, I'll include them.

This is my entry into the Sax Duo Call for Scores.

I originally thought of the core idea of this piece some time ago, starting from one note, from which all the other notes literally unfolded through the piece, representing the creation of the universe. Notes form into groups representing the planets being created. Civilisation occurs :), then the process works in reverse, with notes being collapsed into each other, as the universe collapses into a point of singularity.

It represents a bit of a departure from my normal composition process.

Initially inspired by a conversation about Coleridge's "Kublai Khan" we began to swap ideas for a psychedelic track with an Eastern influence. 
We widened our literary sources to include Meister Eckhart, William Blake, Aldous Huxley and the Tibetan Bardo Thodol.

1899..mortifying accident eating fistfuls of hot roasted chestnuts at a garden party. Mouth and lips swelled like a carp....Doctor told me to blow my food before eating...so keen to avoid injury I blew all my food off my spoon for months...covered poor Perkins in all manner of stuff (cough). Became thin as a match..feet looked like they belonged to a gecko. Weaned back to some semblance of nutrition by mixing oats with cold beer! Necessity is the mother of invention!

Not easy to follow Django in his choruses with the clarinet !!! I did my best until the end on this beautiful track evoking the elegance of a beautiful young lady walking down the streets .... of Paris ( I imagine !)  ... All the genius of Django is here I think with the incredible feel with the melody and harmonies .
