Calm & Steady series

- short tracks of dance music

All tracks were uploaded between 09/2020 and 02/2021, mostly in 2021, with the following older exceptions:

. . - Quince Traction (Novalogue - Infinite Waiting)(#17): 3 years,
. . - Julie With Cappuccinos "The Seer Of Lublin"(#11): 2 years,
. . - poltri "Highspeed with Herb"(#4): 8 months,
. . - GTN-O "Giselle"(#10): 8 months.

The other series (short tracks) so far are:
- "Hard-Fast-or-Nasty" (more intense/abrasive)
- "MiddleLane", and "Superdance" (the middle, or ambivalence)
- "Funky-Dub-Trap" (terminology conundrum)
- "Fantaisies" (for professional dancers only)
- "Minimal"
- "Dark"
- "BreakB-Jungle-DnB"

There is little overlap between them, mostly between: *
. . A) MiddleLane, Superdance
and
. . B) all other series

* Increasingly there is some overlap between "Calm & Steady" and "Funky-Dub-Trap", and between a bunch of others (Dark, Minimal, ...). I'm trying to keep it to the minimum, the overlap, tracks finding themselves in more than one playlist

New collab with the very talented Green Mercurian Owl.  @greenmercurianowl
Dmitry brought this kooky brass riff to the collab and we worked back and forth between New Mexico and Siberia to make a kooky song, worthy of the riff.  The bouncing brass/guitar instrument is called Balkan Wedding Dance.  Hope you enjoy as much as we do! :)

This is a brief, basic experiment track to learn more about the compression function on vocals with our new recording equipment. Always loved this Zevon song so thought I would post what I was tinkering with... Happy to say that Morry and I are working on new originals lately, using our new DP-24 Tascam. The songs will have full instrumentation and not just my crappy acoustic playing. Hope to post them in the next few months.

I Can't Stand The Waste (Remaster)

the last beautiful farewell track to this album. it was fun while it lasted. i truthfully feel like iv done it all to wrap around the concept and sound im going for in this. iv used every kitchen tool i can think of for the percussion which to me, is the most important part of the album that makes it what it is.  i kept this one simple to give it a personality of its own on the album along with its predecessor "language exchange" the song.  Though its short, i still feel like it packs a pretty good punch for the last track. Track 5\

Crimson Divinations

Gary decided it was time to get the ‘It’s us, the neighbours’ band back together again for another crazy, wacky outing.
He sent Nick and myself his latest ditty and asked if we would like to contribute, obviously we both agreed.
Nick and I worked alone at first and then traded ideas for the outro section. Nick added his wild voice box solo and unmistakable fretboard scorching runs then finished off the piece with a melodic E-Bow outro, I did my bit, then we sent our contributions to Gary who pulled it all together with a stellar production.
It’s been great fun and a real pleasure to collaborate with the guys again, thanks to Gary for asking me to contribute.
