This is a song I threw together on the bass and keys, and my friend Tez put down the guitar. I really like the result. He's a very talented musician, who knows how to add dynamic energy to any song. Originally, I conceived this as a funk tune, but it got less funky and more straightforward as I worked it. Hope you enjoy our efforts.

Listening to this beautifull wagnerian riff on Siegfried Idyl I played recently with my classical friends made me think of an unsual context for expressing the emotion I felt and tried to transpose into modern groove  ... Hope you enjoy this  emotional translation attempt   !!

On March 24, 1999, NATO launched an aerial bombardment campaign against Yugoslavia to put an end to the repression of the Albanian Kosovars, the first against a sovereign State in the Alliance's 50 years of existence, carried out without the authorization explicit from the UN, Russia, a historical ally of Belgrade, and China having opposed any resolution allowing military intervention.
This intervention will weigh very heavily for the rest of history because NATO's military intervention in the Kosovo crisis has been interpreted as a geopolitical coup led by a Western camp determined to marginalize Russia and its status as a member permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
NATO's approach to missile defense has been interpreted by Russia as an attempt to compromise its nuclear second-strike capability. Worse still, the "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine and the "Roses Revolution" in Georgia brought to power elites who considered joining the EU and NATO.
The rest, we all know it as well as the probable decline of Europe which is very likely to be, once again, the playground for a new world war. 
What is SAD about this story IS THAT THERE IS NO ONE TO TALK ABOUT PEACE, JUST THE CONTRARY !!!

Le 24 mars 1999, l’OTAN lançait une campagne de bombardements aériens contre la Yougoslavie pour mettre un terme à la répression des Kosovars albanais, une première contre un État souverain en 50 ans d’existence de l’Alliance, menée sans l’autorisation explicite de l’ONU, la Russie, alliée historique de Belgrade, et la Chine s’étant opposées à toute résolution permettant une intervention militaire.
Cette intervention pèsera très lourd pour la suite de l'Histoire car l'intervention militaire de l'OTAN dans la crise du Kosovo a été interprétée comme un coup de force géopolitique mené par un camp occidental déterminé à marginaliser la Russie et son statut de membre permanent du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies.
L'approche de l'OTAN en matière de défense antimissile a été interprétée par la Russie comme une tentative de compromettre sa capacité de seconde frappe nucléaire. Pire encore, la "Révolution orange" en Ukraine et la "Révolution des roses" en Géorgie ont porté au pouvoir des élites qui envisageaient d'entrer dans l'UE et l'OTAN.
La suite, nous la connaissons tous ainsi que le déclin probable de l'Europe qui risque fort d'être, encore une fois, le terrain de jeu pour une nouvelle guerre mondiale.
Ce qui est TRISTE dans cette histoire, C'EST QU'IL N'Y A PERSONNE POUR PARLER DE PAIX, BIEN AU CONTRAIRE !!!
