Some call it hardgroove, most call it tribal, but in the end, it’s this type of percussive and energetic techno that runs through my veins. Heavily reliant on its loop structure, layering for extended periods and quick mixing are keys to mastery of the style. Dominated by a smattering of Todd Terry loops, deft reinterpretations of disco tracks, and a strong reliance on the track “Bubble” by Tikkel, there are similarities abound in this genre, but the artform of it all comes when stitching them together in a high-octane yet coherent way. Ebbs and flows, calculated drops, and a freight train of basslines and stabs, this is a powerhouse way to see the end of my series out the door. The balance to all of these recordings - and my music career - is this “Fulcrum.”

Martina Menfors is a Gothenburg-based DJ that emerged on the techno scene in 2015. Since then she has been heard in various locations ranging from small bars to underground warehouses. Martina was resident at the infamous Rottweiler bar, one of the true and major underground clubs in Gothenburg. She is now resident and artist at STRECK (@streckgbg). Her sound is best described as fast-paced, energetic and punky!

When you discover your passion for music, it will devour you. It will become part of your DNA. The mosaic of your life is made up of euphoria from music as well as feedback from fans. Whatever happens, it will not deter you from working and creating value for the scene.

The passion, which he discovered when he was 11 years old holds him up to now! It reflects the honest work and talent that naturally didn't take long to wait for. The winner of several DJ contests and victory in Best DJ SK/CZ contest in 2010 has started an even higher appetite for work. Since then, he has organized over 80 events with a colourful international cast, which have a significant place on the Slovak scene.

The main focus of his effort is the Techno Gang party, which is, thanks to the tireless and first-class cooperation with his friend Filip, more and more heard of about beyond the borders of Slovakia. The catacombs under the Bratislava castle known as the Subclub have become Techno Gang's house and foreign names like Stigmata, Bjorn Torwellen, Tobias Lueke, Matt Mus, Steam Shape, Wex 10 or Darmec have so far accepted  invitations. Faith in the DJ's craft and the will to create value for the scene are foot on accelerator to create always braver promoter programs. In his musical style, Bari has a very rich outlook and a clearly profiled sound. Surgicaly accurate mixes are not achieved thanks to digital technologies, but only thanks to the experience and the exercised hearing from his childhood. The distinctive handwriting of his sets are always high-octane, energetic and dynamic, that do not know any compromise. His performances blast a big dose of energy, playfulness, originality and joy from music.

This month on PoleGroup radio we are going to listen to a mix from the "Non Series" boss "Psyk", he has recorded this mix in his home studio in Madrid using tracks from Dj Nobu, Edit Select, James Ruskin and Stanislav Tolkachev to name a few of them. 

Psyk has a new EP coming  up beginning 2020 on his NON series label called " Opal Lake ", 

And on the touring side he will play this Saturday on November 23 @ DGTL in Madrid and the week after, he will go for the first time to Australia where he will play in Melbourne. On New Years Eve we can find him playing gigs in Madrid and Berlin.
