Welsh-born, Julian AKA Julez Wŷl, mostly known for his hard, trippy and groovy techno sets has cemented himself within the Underground Techno scene in London over the past few years. Resident at Jaded in Corsica Studios he has proven to perfectly match the definition of a creative and dynamic selector, who is known to play marathon sets up to 10 hours long.  On top of that, he is also founder of the Off Topic collective, pioneering new talent onto the scene. 

With recent releases on Berlin based label Rebels Conspiracy and an unstoppable, straight to the point selection, you will surely need a new pair of shoes after dancing to his sets.

Label owner of Unknown Territory, and label partner for Sleaze Records UK, the one and only Lex Gorrie, and he brand new EP, titled 'Reverse Psychology'! 

2 awesome hypnotic and raw Techno tracks that are embodied with sharp and punchy stabs, driving percussion, and some very tight mixing skills. Lex does an amazing job in leaving nothing to chance, bringing us straight forward European style Techno that we simply love. If having him back on the label wasn't already sweet enough, well things just 1UP'd as we are even more so humbled by bringing back Tom Hades, to provide 2 stellar and dirty remixes to the main track 'Reverse Psychology'.  An honor it is, he simply destroyed the remixes (in a great way!). Then to sweetening off the deal, we bring back De-Konstrukt label partners Subfractal & Rolando Hodar, to finish out the EP strong.

Methodical is the newest venture from Italy’s MTD who introduces his latest alias with debut album titled Focus. He is also the owner of the seasoned label Sonntag Morgen and as an artist, has seen his music on imprints such as Animal Farm, Blackrod, Affekt, and Gynoid Audio.

This eleven track pack is nothing short of total excellence, with diverse ideas, yet solid club functionality. Familiar and new is difficult to achieve for any artist and we hold him in high esteem with no sign of filler, which is hard to find in the abundance of the digital world. Proving his production pedigree and consistently hitting the spot, this album is essential to real techno lovers.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “Köln” that gets into some mental pleasure with its hypnotic techniques. Using spacey drones and wonky modular stabs to create a moving and morphing sonic masterclass of exceptional analogue beauty.
