Episode 13 of the Animal Farm Podcast comes from Berlin-based STRISC.
He is a mysterious techno figure that has been making headlines thanks to an output of no-compromise productions that have garnered him the respect and attention of techno aficionados and peers alike.

STRISC. began releasing on Flash Recordings before launching his very own first imprint, named STRISCTRX. Now, he launches a second label called PURE HATE, and does it in style with Slave To Society aka Andrew Bowen, one half of AnD, providing the debut EP which includes a remix from industrial techno heavyweight Perc.

The 44th vinyl from Hidden Recordings courtesy of JC Laurent with an additional remix by Mike Parker. Deep, hypnotic techno centered around being powerful and effective DJ tools.

Hidden continues its thorough exploration into the deep and hypnotic realm of techno with an avant-garde and dance-floor ready release by mainstay JC Laurent, titled Through Differences. Included is an instantly recognizable remix by spatial sound virtuoso, Mike Parker.

Side A begins with "Through Differences" and its rich, organic textures levitating around clever drum work, building tension then releasing with timely percussion. Featuring Mike Parker’s meticulously honed vision of techno, he’s carves out a brutal remix matching his vintage ritualistic sound locked into its own space and frequency.

Side B begins with "Backwards" and its raw drums aggressively paving the way for an edgy, stripped-down and intense vibe. "Navigates Time" and Space locks you in immediately with a groovy baseline and rolling snares for a special after-hours feeling.

"Silence as Weapon" has a distinct off-kilter sensibility with rollicking drums and jabbing percussion.

Bade Records owners and two-time remix contributors Morven return to made of CONCRETE with their first full EP, with label member Toni Dextor up for remix duties.

"Western Super" is a slice of dance-inducing undulating techno, with a subdued percussion and catchy glitches ebbing and flowing as its obscure vocal seems to sputter through a radio loudspeaker in the backdrop. Another heavy-hitter comes in the shape of "Shift", which amps up the tension through its hard bassline and menacing snares. "Grindhouse" is yet another immersive, hazy dub techno piece which mesmerises from the get go. 

Toni Dextor’s remix of "Western Super" takes a detour into dark techno with effervescent synths and a subdued version of the vocal, leaving more room for the high impact of the enveloping, throbbing bass.
