Amid all the turmoil around the world, we're happy to welcome towLie to the series. She is is a DJ, producer, and club promoter from Stockholm, Sweden. Running the käfTen label, she boasts releases by LVRIN, Egyptian Eyeliner, Klorex 55 as well as her own productions. She also releases music under the aliases Skitungen, Empfänger, sugaR and sees her work also on the Bron Free and CAF? labels. Our best description of her sound is a crunchy and bumping take on electro, techno. Don't take our word for it, check out her gritty, hour-long selection full of wonky twists and turns.

Galactic Funk co-founder Bertram lands on Dead Channel with his debut EP Kibra Cadena. Literally translated as ‘break chains’ in Aruban creole, and broadly referencing the breaking of colonial chains of imperial oppression, this six track EP of tense, brooding rhythms is driven and gritty. Spanning mutated psychedelic dub, Giallo-tinged cinematix, frenzied insidious acid, and methodically churning crispers, this stunning work is singular in its execution and focused in its vision. Visceral, heady, and relentless, this dark, genre-defying gem is a tour de force in sonic mastery.

Based in Milan, the duo runs the labels Marguerite Records and Tocca il futuro, strongly rooted in dark and cold sounds from the past and present influenced by wave, synths and early electronics to more ebm-ish reflections on new beat and drum machines which you can also hear in their own productions and in their radioshow on Rinse France. 
In our opinion this podcast is a perfect example for their signature approach.

DTP#02 - Bianco Negativo

Our 4th podcast is made by Asymmetrical. 
He is involved in a lot of projects, some of them known like Fauna53 (along with LKSMN and LDWG), Cobret Voltaire (with LDWG) and Distorted Portrait, others of them unknown (and probably it's better for everyone in this way). Further he‘s a resident DJ of collective Zerouno in Rome and, under the pseudonym of John English,  part of the Knick Knack Yoda team.
He also runs the label Raw Culture known for its great mixture of  industrial-fired dungeon music ranging from  wave to machinic and raw rhythm excursions (especially in his own productions) to dirty electro and drum experiments.
His mix is blending together all these different times, sounds, instruments, rhythms and genres to a powerful and eclectic ride straight to the eerie and back.

Para Antonio was originally composed on a toy piano & guitar pedal. My nephew, Jack Kehoe, arranged the song enabling new versions including his (for Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Tuba) and St Celfer's (for 4 machines).

Much of my music is inspired by Classical like St Celfer's 11 Suites which follows, albeit loosely, THE "rules" - made with some gambiarra, noise, and chaos, of course.

Antonio tragically passed away for reasons unrelated to the COVID pandemic. He was an actor with an upcoming movie release [ www.imdb.com/name/nm13865825/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm ].
