'Allegories' is a compilation curated by Insurgency, an art collective probing the farthest ends of electronic expression. The nine-piece assemblage in cassette and digital form explores sonic abrasiveness as it relates to music, art, and social reality, in contrast to the dominant tropes and trends prevalent in today's club music. The selected works of nine musicians are aimed to offer an authentic and distinctive insight into the sub-culture of underground electronics, its concepts, values, and its most promising artists. Each of these allegories is to be interpreted freely and without declaration: the noise, as any other instrument of expression, is to be felt introspectively.

Mokre’tzy Konstruktor returns to Dead Channel with The Mystery of Maybug. This genre-defying, absolutely stunning four track EP plunges head first into the murky depths of the netherworld. 

Wonderfully bizarro melodies cling to crisped percussion, all shrouded in a smokey blanket of saturation. Haunting basslines, exotic resonance howls, sludgy synths drowning in the umbra, diabolical carnival organs, and stygian vocals, all breathe and shudder together in symphonic, lo-fi darkness. Evocative of The Residents and Throbbing Gristle but wholly unique. Apocalyptic lounge for the long nuclear winter. 

"It reflects the concept of the whole, disassembled into parts and fragments. Primitive and simple. The metaphor of the beetle is that, having dissembled it into simple understandable details, it remains infinitely difficult to understand. Following the huge success of the prophetic 80s Underground Cassette Culture Vol 1, the Vol 2 double LP is set to hit shelves and screens with the same brand of distortion soaked didactics. Twenty one tracks from across the globe make up this second installment with nothing being constant. Instead, the overarching message is one of wanton abandonment; burnt-out artists peddling a punk profanity, marginalised musicians spitting on the establishment and industry. Rusted guitar strings, cobbled drum machines and fire in the belly; this is the recipe. A soundtrack of despondent despair, a lament of languid lechery, an anthem of what was then and still is now.
