On the Way to Kolorádó 2023 are also YIBAI and TSUBI. Yibai's debut EP saw the light this year on Exiles. This DJ set focuses on the Hungarian experimental scene giving you a glimpse on what to expect at the festival. He's one of the seven artists representing the label at Kolorádó. Tsubi is a long-time returning guest of Kolorado and one of the host of the RadiOzora night, happening every year on Friday night on Csodaszarvas stage. In this special selection he attempted to summarise everything that you can ear-witness on these musically eclectic nights, building from slower, deeper tracks to peak-time bangers, with some electro, dub, acid, tribal, new-beat, techno, trance and goa.

∎ @temporarynites / is a Budapest-based advanced electronic media collective founded in 2021 by Veleva Milena and Benedek Csaba (@noirnite). They have been making events ever since their launch with the aim of refreshing the local club scene not only focusing on music but visual shows as well. Releasing this album shows how colorful the label’s taste is as you can find tracks from soft ambient songs to crushing free tekno ones.

∎ @eccotvirgo / EccotVirgo is the moniker under which Esteban de la Torre explores the deep end of drone music, swamp gaze and dub-influenced broken rhythms. He pivots his work between the physicality of spatialized sound and the artifacts of psycho-acoustic minimalism, aiming to shake your bones via stochastic spirituals and kick drums of eternal decay. Born in Mexico City, he is a sound and meta-media artist based in Budapest.

French producer, composer and Berlin Atonal favourite Aho Ssan is well known by now for his theory-driven explorations of electronic music’s outer limits. His 2020 LP Simulacrum is a head-spinning labyrinth of sonics with a tantalisingly elusive centre — and so any indication of where his electronic avant-garde philosophy comes from might yield some insights. That’s the feeling you get from his revelatory exclusive Bleep mix. Echoes of Aho Ssan’s work resonate in the scorched sub-techno fury of unreleased Emptyset and Exzald S tracks, while his own remix of Childish Gambino’s ‘This is America’ drenches trap snares with an unruly noise edge.
