DO MY THING

Found this in my old files and I liked it so I decided to share. It was recorded on a Saturday afternoon back in December, 2013. I somehow managed to get this done with my son playing around me. It's all improvised but I edited out extended moments of silence because to keep the piece moving.  

This is mostly acoustic guitar into an Electro Harmonix 2880 looper. I used Thumbjam on iOS for the string sounds.

Following on from the mid 2015 ‘Critical Drift’ EP released through Sparkwood Records comes ‘Juxtapparition’. A full length release which explores much darker territories; mixing ambient post-rock with deep droning atmospherics and downtempo electronica. Weaving amid waves of fuzz tinged drones, fractured beats and hints of twisted melodies, the sound envisages a dark panorama in which the listener is left to bring their own interpretation.

'Further Studies Beyond Decay' - is a compilation of new Everyday Dust material and remixes from 'The Green Decay’.

Earlier in the year Everyday Dust started work on new and experimental works whilst various remixes from his ‘The Green Decay’ album were also taking place. As both projects developed they fortuitously drifted together and soon became clear that the new works and remixes belonged on the same release. ‘Further Studies Beyond Decay’ is a development of ‘The Green Decay’ that feels as organic as the process from which it was created.

The contributing remix artists - covering a spectrum of ambient and electronic music - each bring their own unique interpretations in order to present a multifaceted and compelling re-synthesis of 'The Green Decay' (Released on Sparkwood Oct 31, 2016)
