SEVEN IN THE MIX ! Week 51 - 19/20 December 2015...

When we began with our first co-op in 2002 we founded it on a core ethos - that our philosophy would always be about promoting music at a grass roots level. Today our continued commitment to independent music and unsigned artists is reflected in everything we do at U&I. 

From those modest beginnings we have now grown into Unsigned And Independent and work exclusively with an international network of 95 co-ops in 49 countries. 

What we are now doing through U&I Radio is promoting more artists and their music to those who appreciate what good music is all about. This extensive network we have recommends a rich diversity of quality music on a continuous basis and we now dedicate these recommendations into playlists as part of the concept that U&I stands for. 

This is the latest U&I Radio playlist and features 10 artists recommended to us through our co-op network.

Do You Want It? (Demo)

Electric Eye play droned out psych-rock inspired by the blues, India and the ever more expanding universe. On the bands inspirational mix tape, you will probably find songs from the The Black Angels, Wooden Shjips and Pink Floyd in Pompeii. With members from some of Bergen’s foremost underground bands, a couple of spectacular songs and live shows, the buzz about Electric Eye swiftly spread from Norway to music fans world wide. Electric Eye released their debut-LP “Pick-up, Lift-off, Space, Time” in April. The album received rave reviews in the Norwegian music press, and has over the last few months spread to blogs and radio stations all over the world. The album was a co-release between Norway's Klangkollektivet and London based Fuzz Club Records, who put out “Pick-up, Lift-off, Space, Time” in both the UK and US. After the release Electric Eye have toured Scandinavia and the EU, appeared at several Psych Fests across the continent.

Fuzz Club Records is an independent label, online store and production company that focuses on raw, experimental rock and roll, influenced by psychedelia, shoegaze, noise, garage, blues, folk and experimentation.
