DJ hektis Has been a DJ for about 4 years now, he has been producing since early teenage years. 
after which had a nice general understanding of the programs and producing techniques, so when taking a class in music production he had a great start. although the class also taught him many great new techniques in music production. He was given the opportunity to show off his skills at a small event in the Embarcadero/ Bay area of San Diego where he mixed his first official set in front of friends and new faces alike. there he met Deejay Holmes who helped him greatly to get more gigs and events to spin. Soon Becoming a Resident DJ at a small local venue called "The Yard" where many DJs, Bands and Musicians of all kinds can come and perform. DJ HeKtis soon became a frequent DJ at many events thrown by the yard weather at the venue or other locations. often impressing many new comers and new acquaintances gaining reputation around San Diego.
since DJing for The Yard HeKtis has been Booked for many Local events including larger events such as Kinetek, Eternal, Solbot, Rocket and Movement.
DJing one of the 1st electronic events at Soma in Years. 
He Has also had a Residency mixing a Weekly set on Nug Magazine's very own radio station Nug Radio. where yet more experience was gained. networking gained him access to a new fan base through soundcloud and facebook bringing even more listeners and gaining a spot on Spinnin Dirty Records roster. soon after DJ HeKtis began spinning at Bars and Clubs around San Diego such as Gaslamp Speakeasy, Barfly and The Red C Lounge. HeKtis has made much progress in the past 4 years only time will tell where the Young DJ/Producer HeKtis Beats Goes Next.
