" O típico cliché “ a música faz parte da sua vida desde sempre” neste caso não se aplica. Não lhe são conhecidas influências musicais vindas da infância, do pai ou do irmão mais velho inexistente. Foi a música que chegou “sozinha" pelo seu próprio ouvido. Música que ele tratou de fazer alegre , rítmica e contagiante.. 
Em 2013 fez o seu primeiro dj set ao serviço da Synopsys Prod. Depois de se tornar residente dos festas Subculture e Music Makers e de algumas outras actuações, no ano seguinte junta-se oficialmente à Synopsys e passa a ser representado pela promotora nortenha. Em 2014 começa a produzir os seus próprios temas que já o fazem dono de um estilo energético. 
Editou já pela Mister Music que apelida a sua música de "tech house muito refinado" , editou também na Unity Records e mais recentemente pela Dead Motion que não se inibiu de o descrever como alguém que "tem uma forma de se expressar que gostamos muito, um groove conciso, com texturas que o definem claramente." .
Apesar de tão curta carreira já é perceptível a sua perspicácia em medir ou ler uma pista ,assim como é notória a sua capacidade congénita de redobrar e acelerar a boa disposição do público. "

The typical cliché "music was always part of his life " can’t be applied in this case. There are no childhood musical influences known, either from his father or the inexistent elder brother. It was the music that found its own way to his ears. In 2013, Pedro Vasconcelos played his first DJ set at the service of Synopsys Productions. After taking part in many festivals such as Subculture and Music Makers, he joined Synopsys officially and is now represented by the Northern Promoter. Music was what he strived to make rhythmic, exhilarating and contagious.  In 2014, he began to produce his themes, which are representative of his own energetic style. His themes were already edited by Mister Music and defined as "very refined house tech", followed by Unity Records and more recently Dead Motion, which described him as someone who "has a way of expressing himself that we appreciate, a concise groove with textures that clearly define him”. Despite such a short career, it is already perceptible his perspicacity to measure or read a clue, as it is also notorious his congenital capacity to redouble and accelerate the public’s good mood.

Porto based electronica veteran Alex FX is making one hell of a comeback - and "hell" is quite the word for this one. If "Stormhorse" had already left quite a footprint on our anniversary compilation, the 3 brand new pieces added here are definitely not for the weak hearts.
"Incubus" is a heart-stomping beast, just like its associated male demon name. Sure to leave you breathless. On the other hand, as its opposite female demon form, "Succubus" is equally intense, although totally mind driven. Sick and mental, to say the least. 
The closing track "Minotaur" is probably the biggest surprise from the lot. 
Pure vintage Alex FX at its best. 808's, 303's on lower BPM's but enough to make you close your eyes and get lost on the mythical maze from the dance floor. 
Exorcise yourself from your own sins/demons.

The path of Caz (André Castro)
through the electronic music scene has taken a more serious turn around 7 years ago, when he first started djing on a local club of his home-town Porto, Portugal, followed by residencies and gigs in some of the Portuguese most iconic clubs.

From the beginning , the 23 year-old self-taught and persistent Caz has always mixed the djing concept with composition, a natural process for him that showed results in 2012, when he first released alongside with André Mecre "The Joint" EP on Fauvrelle's InFlagrante Records, supported from a great array of dj's, producers and listeners worldwide.

After this first "test", it was time for Caz to take a deeper look on the composition side, with a 2 year lockdown working on new tracks as solo artist and in two other projects created by himself, "Goodfellas" and 
"U.T.R.", with releases in labels as Deep Soulful Recordings, Dead Motion Records, Unsigned Records...

Porto based electronica veteran Alex FX and Bauhaus / Love & Rockets ex-member David J get quite a genius footprint with this LOCUST SWARM track, part of the upcoming Alex FX album ECHOMENTAL/1.
 
Alex invited some great producers to collaborate on this release. 
Switchdance, Lux Frágil's resident DJ, who makes two fantastic remixes for club and ambient venues. 
Rui Maia from Mirror People, with a great old school textures groove and Miguel Torga with his unique creativity. 
Dave Wesley with a beautiful deep ambient atmospheric dub treatment, and finally Knock Knock (Armando Teixeira's moniker) with a sort of Northern/German analogue blender. 
 
Most of these tracks have already been played on some great festivals like Neopop or outstanding clubs such like Lux Frágil, but they still have enough magic to make you close your eyes and get lost on the dance floor. 

Alex FX will soon be touring his ECHOMENTAL Live Experience shows around Europe to present his ECHOMENTAL/1 release. Don't miss it. You're in for (far more) than a treat.

-2 apresentam 'Concreto'. O nome revela a objectividade do projecto, mas também um contraponto à abstração e ao caos controlado do álbum. O duo traz-nos um trabalho que é definitivamente feito para a pista de dança, em que a exploração de ritmos e de melodias tensas parece querer levar-nos ao escuro e mostrar-nos que não precisamos de ter receio. Em segredo caracterizam a sua música como uma mistura de sexo intenso com amor, num pulsar permanente entre hats eléctricos, texturas como fagulhas e uma musicalidade cerâmica que se fundem em compostos de vidro e metal, materiais crus que ganham assim forma e fluidez. A anatomia quase teatral das diferentes faixas diz muito acerca das experiências pessoais dos seus encenadores, notando-se a existência de momentos de psicadelismo intrínseco ao espaço exterior, absorvido entre colunas sólidas de arquitectura obscura, e rasgos de matéria orgânica. 'Concreto' é uma amalgama de (menos)duas vidas, a fusão de duas mentes que (re)organizam a desordem quando se interceptam. Texto por: Marcos Ferreira

-2 present ‘Concreto’. The name reveals the objectivity of the project, but is a counterpoint to the abstraction and controlled chaos of their album. The duo brings us a body of work that is definitely tailored for the dance-floor, in which the rhythmic exploration and tense melodies seem to take us into the dark to show that there is no reason to be fearful. In secret, they characterise their music as a mixture of intense sex with love, a permanent oscillation between electric hats, sparking textures and a ceramic musicality, which fuse into metal and glass compounds, crude materials that gain form and fluidity. The almost theatrical anatomy of the tracks says a great deal about the personal experiences of their directors and one can sense the psychedelic influences of exterior spaces, absorbed by solid columns of abstract architecture, but also bearing distinct organic features. ‘Concreto’ is an amalgamation of (minus)two lives, the fusion of two minds that (re)organise the disorder when they intercept.
