the idea of constructing a credits song that would play at the end screen of someone's death is rather interesting.

i was introduced to vivivivivi through a youtube reccomendation of her "demonic little grey cat theme song" late-mid-2021, and again rather recently through a recent weekly stroll through r/sewerslvt. vivivivivi's charm, to me, was the ability to convey emotions through a low-bit minecraft-esque environmental sound. it's something similar to acetantina, but if acetantina made chiptune instead of vaportrap.

this remix was made out of appreciation for this odd yet admirable artist.

my initial plan was to make a fast-paced and confusing song that was around the 240-bpm range, inspired by fnf mod soundtracks & started it shortly after watching a video called "why your friday night funkin songs suck" or something. one key premise in that video was how it's nice to have a balance of surprise and expectations.

however, after i produced the first minute into the song i wanted to put a transitional point between the rest of the album, since the last few bits of the album were planned to be super slow like my older stuff (think of stars align and such.) after a flurry of fast paced music. so i wanted to slow it down to a synthwave tempo with jungle-type rhythmic placement of percussion, similar to the production of my earlier downtempo works.

one of my favorite songs, i knew it had to be released as a single next to vozrozhdeniye.

this was something i genuinely enjoyed making. it was essentially a speedrun to make something atmospheric. at the time of making this i was really getting into this artist named sophie so this was heavily influenced by her, even if it isnt apparent.

i was super proud of this, which is rare to me. and it motivated me to continue work on the rest of this product with mostly undivided attention. it sparked the fun i had making this.

i shared this to people im familiar with on soundcloud in private messages with the following text:

"a thing off of an upcoming album. by upcoming i dont mean something that im procrastinating on, but rather something im actually committing to and am eager to complete."

eehee this used to be a secret/bonus track for the bandcamp release of stars align but since i liked it so much i decided to make it an officially public track on the album as of 6/9/2022.

my idea for this was to make some weird trap/dnb/trance/synthwave hybrid with how the drums play the same rhythms but at different speeds which affect the flow of the rhythm.
tried to make this song with the thought "partial arts but it was made by someone else and i'm remixing it", and it was named after the sylvir/sakuraburst song of the same name.

i was feeling down one night so i tried to entice myself back into working on denyoukai. i figured i would flip a random dreampop song from the likes of crystal castles into a slow, breakbeat ambient track with a magical, enchanting atmosphere. this was the result.
confining myself into this small box of "cold pokemon-inspired footwork/jungle" was a bit too restricting so i enjoyed this opprotunity i gave myself to branch out and try new production methods.

probably one of the best songs i've ever made for denyoukai, maybe even in general. i just knew it had to be a single. i recorded it in late hours (or technically early hours since it was like midnight) and had lots of fun making it, it was probably the most fun i've had making a song. the idea was to make an atmospheric footwork type song with some breakbeats, similar to artists like glitchtrode or bye2. i messed around, tried to make an acid sounding arpeggio later on but it ended up turning into a sloshy icicle sound which fit way better than my original, neurofunk-type idea for the breakdown.

i was also watching some videos from this youtube content creator named huggbees who had a good sense of humor, which added onto it. the title for this song is actually a reference to how he goes over different sayings in different areas. like how some people call sunshowers "the devil beating his wife", others call it "the wolf is giving birth", and some people for whatever reason call it "pineapple rain". weird i know lol

this is the brainchild of my convoluted ideas.
