Noise injections, entangled and syncopated distorted rhythms, industrial layers, cinematic atmospheres and apocalyptic synthetic patterns are elements characterizing Consistency Of a Surface by Nemrac (@nemrac-official), which we premiere today. The song is included in his upcoming release Driving Tension, which will be released by Monolith Records (@monolith-records) on 24th February. 

Nemrac is already known for his work with Syncretism Records (@syncretismrecords), with which he’s released sharp and uncommon releases, starting from the compilation series Sonic Textures, which has hosted artists such as Crystal Geometry, Swarm Intelligence, Ryuji Takeuchi, Hypnoskull, Jackpoint Zeroes, Isabassi & Cocktail Party Effect and Nemrac himself. 

This new release fully reflects the spirit of Monolith Records, always refusing the standards of this kind of music, succeeding in doing it again.

Flaminia & VSK deliver three tracks of nimble and nuanced techno.

On the latest installment from Tommy Four Seven’s revitalized 47 imprint, artists Flaminia and VSK join forces for the first time in a highly dynamic three-track EP, fusing searing sound design and impeccable production with haunting vocal hooks.

“Elysian” opens the release with peak-time energy that opts for textural depth over sheer intensity. Its magnetic center is a piledriving four-to-the-floor kick and finely chiseled percussion set to the backdrop of Flaminia’s whisper. Her voice takes the lead on the B-side, becoming the clipped and chorus-like refrain on “Carpe Noctem”—a gnarled broken beat punctuated by distortion and psychedelic riffs. 47032 closes with “Tenebra,” a breakneck drum & bass-indebted cut that combines gated synths with Flaminia’s breathy vocals for a minimally constructed yet highly addictive dance track.
