Needles at the ready, as the Dr prepares to inject us with shot number -31 of the ec2a Dubplate Collection, this one being a certified cure for those dancefloor withdrawals as we witness the walls of our clubs heating up once again. 

After a year's stint of delivering an array of bass-heavy flavours during difficult times, ec2a continues to push boundaries in the scene and is quick to provide yet another release that is aptly ready for the dance. The Dr has been sure to pick up the pace, and rightly so, as this selection takes us back to what can only be described as that ‘90’s jungle mania’ - when the rave was first popping off. 

Who better to be behind the buttons than Bristol-based powerhouse Roy Bar, having had well-received releases on labels such as CNCPT and Locus Sound and whose audacious productions have recently become a testament to the city's underground scene. After teasing us with a free download ‘The Right Way’, Roy Bar kicks off with his latest version of ‘Ode’ (A-side), as he brings to us a think-break-filled steady roller that has been brewing in the archives for a hot minute. Yet it remains timeless and now sits alongside ‘Dangerous’ (B-side) which boasts archetypal jungle with a melodic synth twist. 

As we re-enter the rave, this release is essential to the nostalgic notion of electronic bass music. Go cop and make history.

Denham Audio (Groove) 
Sheffield trio heavily involved with Bass and Breaks Denham Audio have had releases on Addison Groove's Groove Label as well as UK Techno producer Ejeca's imprint and have remixed and worked with a tonne of the most exciting underground bass acts in the scene. Their sound is best described as a mix of Jungle breaks, rave pads and heavy UK Bass. 

Mani Festo (Groove) 
Mani Festo is a Jungle / Bass producer from the Brighton. His music pays homage to the golden years of UK Rave music. He has been Djing and producing under numerous aliases for almost ten years, developing his own style of sonic experiments inspired by a love of the original sounds of Hardcore and Jungle. He went on to produce 130bpm bass music deeply rooted in Hardcore and Jungle, landing releases on labels such as Swamp 81 and Durkle Disco. This saw him perform across the UK and beyond, with numerous appearances on Rinse FM and some large UK festival stages.
