DJ Dave Bowen is a House DJ, originally from London UK and now lives in Perth, Western Australia.
Dave’s been into the scene since the early hedonistic days back in 1988 where he stumbled across a “Pleasure Zone” party at Slough Centre and was immediately struck with the immense bass, lasers and hot sweaty ravers that were so friendly! Dave knew at that moment that he’d found his happy place😎.

Shortly after the vinyl collection had begun and soon followed with the new Technics SL1210’s and Numark sampler mixer, Dave had found his purpose in life, this was to perfect the art of mixing on vinyl and soon followed with his own gigs, private parties and then onto multiple residences in bars & clubs, this reached the highlight of his DJ career back in 1995 where he was on the same flyer as Carl Cox, Derrick May & Jim Masters at probably the most prestigious venue in the UK The Ministry of Sound!

Dave’s currently playing every Friday on the UK’s underground Dance Radio station Release Radio DAB where he links up from his Perth studio to play live on the Ozzy Breakfast Show on Release, this is broadcast live around the globe and has an excellent following, Dave often has special guest DJ’s, producers and promoters join him in the studio for special one off shows.

Dave’s also playing for a Perth local group, namely The Pirates of Perth and can be found on Mixcloud live most Thursday’s.

Tout commence à l’adolescence, lorsqu’il explore les boîtes de nuit du Nord de la France et de la Belgique. La découverte des sonorités de la hard musique hollandaise le marquera particulièrement.

À l’âge de 15 ans, il achète ses premières platines et ses premiers vinyles. Il apprécie des labels comme Fusion records, Scantraxx, Babaorum records et Records mania, qu’il passe en boucle dans sa chambre.
Le djing va le pousser à s’intéresser et à comprendre la façon dont la musique est produite. 
C’est alors qu’il se lance dans la composition dès ses 16 ans. Toutefois, il devra mettre cette activité en stand-by pour se consacrer à sa vie professionnelle, avant de la reprendre en 2024.

Pendant ce laps de temps, ses préférences musicales lui ont offert l’occasion de découvrir les rave partys à partir de ses 19 ans, dans lesquelles il a eu l’opportunité de collaborer en tant qu’organisateur, mais aussi en tant que DJ avec différents sound systems.
