The Accents Records label boss, and exquisite producer, has created a platform for experimentation and deep listening in the past couple of years, and we hope he won’t ever stop. Johan Bonnefoy, his real name, works mainly with hardware and a modular system, oscillating between ambient, industrial, techno and electronic experiments. With appearances on One Instrument, KVLTÖ Records, Cellar Door and many other impressive labels, he has created a remarkable discography throughout the years.

Milan-based Lamusa II is an Italian musician, producer and DJ who represents expertise in meticulously crafted moody, leftifield electronics, often packaged in an adventurous melting pot of styles. His fluidity as a producer is well exhibited on his recently released album DON’T on Jay Glass Dubs’ label Extended Techniques, where various musical collaborations come together in a trip-hop infused work dripped in poetry and sensuality. His E.S.T. mix is a carrier bag of tracks reminiscent of this unique and recognizable sound – an hour long journey into the imaginary of an esteemed figure of Italy’s contemporary music scene.

In this episode of IRIY.Frequencies we spotlight Wisdom Teeth (@wisdomteeth-uk), the groundbreaking London-based label founded by K-Lone and Facta.

The label emerged during the post-dubstep fallout when the London club scene was oversaturated with dubstep and Garage tracks, prompting crowds to shift towards more German-sounding techno. Wisdom Teeth was one of the first labels to merge classical UK sound's bass-heavy, broken rhythms with industrial techno. However, the label began incorporating more experimental and ambient sounds after a few releases, eventually becoming quintessentially left field.
