Die In A Dream

This album has taken quite a while to compleat as I decided  to include some old songs that were recorded by the Green Blues Band. This meant digitization of an original 8 track master that was recorded back in the mid 80's. 
The Green Blues Band were Alan Bariffi and Charlotte Fleischmann. Sadly Charlotte lost her battle with cancer last year which is why I've included the following tracks as a tribute to her and to what we were trying to do all those years ago.
The lyrics of  "Julia" and "A Dolphins song" were written by Charlotte Fleischmann and show her unique style and content. I've also included "Making Money" on which she not only wrote the bulk of the lyrics but you can hear her singing backing vocals on the out tro to fade as well. 
The Green Blues Band was never really meant to be successful band how could it be? When the lyrics were so insightful ecological and pro nature no way would the corporate music business even entertain signing us. And yet the content of the songs are as relevant now as they were back then. The style is unpretentious, English rock, traditional ballads with some Jazzy blues on "Whatever happened" with Charlottes lyrics again humorous and insightful as ever.
I hope that you enjoy the additions to this Album it now seems more compleat to me. It is a fitting tribute to not only one of the best writers and lyricist that I've worked with but also a tribute to someone who was my best friend, comrade, lover and of course wife.
