Avid /ˈæv.ɪd/ - showing great enthusiasm for or interest in something.

I am an autistic and vegan producer, singer/songwriter, mixing engineer, guitarist, podcast editor and graphic designer from the UK. Making music since 2017, I create and produce a wide range of songs and instrumentals with many independent artists from around the world. In 2022, I started singing and have been growing from a 'producer' and 'songwriter' to an 'artist'... But those are all words, and the main thing is to STAY AVID!

Discussing topics such as mental health, Buddhist values and beliefs, and veganism, my lyrics are 100% real and speak for themselves. I write them all in nature, which is my biggest inspiration. I also love to link my emotions and feelings to things that I see on my walks in nature: for example in my song "World Behind the Clouds", I compare the clouds blocking the sun to emotions fighting for space in my mind.

Lyott, DJ originaire de Cologne, a tracé son chemin musical à travers les recoins les plus underground de la scène free party. Ses débuts, au cœur des bois et dans des hangars désaffectés en Belgique, en France, et en Espagne, ont forgé son identité artistique dans l'effervescence des rave parties.

C'est en 2009 que Lyott découvre la Drum and Bass, un tournant décisif qui le fait abandonner l'esprit rave party pour embrasser les soirées club. Des lieux emblématiques tels que Hallow, Yellow Skankers, Openfields festival et d'autres deviennent le terrain de jeu où il explore la roller, la neurofunk, et le dubstep.

Après une pause artistique, Lyott fait un retour fracassant en 2022 lors de son emménagement en France. Un événement fortuit le conduit à mêler psytrance et techno rave pour le collectif HADRA, remplaçant au pied levé un DJ défaillant dans les montagnes savoyardes. Cette expérience marque un tournant majeur, incitant Lyott à reprendre là où il s'était arrêté, en enchaînant les prestations pour la Folie Douce dans les stations de Val D'Isère, Val Thorens et Courchevel pendant l'hiver 2022, il y découvrit la HardTechno qu'il mélange subtilement avec des sonorités Hardcore et Raw. 

En 2023, quelques dates dans des bars, son retour en Belgique et une collaboration avec Enigmatik marquent le début d'un nouveau chapitre. 

Fidèle à son style psychédélique, Lyott fusionne avec virtuosité Hard Trance, Hard Techno, et de puissants kicks Hardcore pour transporter son public vers une autre dimension. Son voyage musical est une expérience captivante qui transcende les frontières des genres, démontrant une maîtrise exceptionnelle de l'art de l'électro.
