Were they meaningless things you said, a poet you swore to save
Could you truly feel all those things that you said that made me sigh
To silence the poet of your life, knowing without you I will surely die

To say it is best to let go because giving me hope is cruel & wrong
I wrote thousands of poems for you & used your name in a song
