Initially a joke, the name Highland Android was what Glasgow musicians Chris Hilton and Kevin Monaghan always claimed their third avant garde album would be named. However, the idea was shelved when their early folk rock writing styles started to venture in a different direction and a new concept was born. 

Highland Android is a project that brings together the synthetic nature of electronic music, the heavy riffs of post-rock and progressive influences mixed with a moody blend of familiar Scottish melancholy and a knack for delivering a catchy chorus.
