[BIO]:
Mario always had a strong passion for the basement proof, bass driven facet of Techno. Born and raised in Potsdam, a town at the gates of Berlin, it was quite obvious that he got bit by the local Techno bug sooner or later. After early visits at the old Tresor club, inspired by the harsh, experimental sound and the pure atmosphere he soon started to dig deeper in the thing called Techno and sustainably found Hard Wax as the main educator in taste which helped him to define his own identity. His DJ sets are a blend of major infuences from artists like James Ruskin, Surgeon, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood or Planetary Assault Systems and labels like Underground Resistance, Downwards, Basic Channel and Tresor Records. Successively he developed his DJ style and began playing at smaller events in his hometown. It was Alexander Kowalski who invited him to play at Tresor for the first time. After playing at the “New faces” and “Tresor.Next” event series he was appointed to the resident team of Tresor. As an integral part of the team Mario is also one of the curators of the “New faces” nights for quite a while now, where he is inviting young emerging artists that share the identical idea of Techno with the same splice of understatement. Mario has released music on various labels, such as Mord Records and Konsequent. His solo ep “Field Dominance“ was released on the Berlin based label KONFLKT .

E2E: What environment or context did you have in mind when recording the mix? 

Greville (@grevillegreville): My favourite place in the world is a little surf town in the south of France called Hossegor that I’ve been going to since I was little. You take the bullet train down from Paris and can’t help but zone into the powerlines whizzing by with a dreamy backdrop of endless sunflower fields and forests.  The power lines start doing a kind of wavey motion which is quite musical. Every time I’m on that train it is very emotive like I’m returning home from a long time away… that feeling and the view goes quite nicely with some music, so this is supposed to be some music for that.

E2E: Upcoming projects you're working on? any new releases on Mad Habitat?

Greville: I have my next release under Greville coming out in January which is an attempt at club music but I’m not very good at making club music so it’s not that clubby. I also have an album from a good friend coming as the fourth release which I am very happy to be involved in. I am also still working on some exciting Rimbombo parties with my special friends Adi and Nik here in Sydney.

It’s been a while since one of our own sets has been uploaded and with clubs being shut for over 6 months now and unfortunately looking like they may not be open until Easter 2021 at the earliest in the UK, we have decided to compile a 60 track, 2 hour 20 minute techno extravaganza for our 40th episode, to bring back some of those dance floor memories - showcasing a diverse selection of styles, including many groovy, hypnotic and dubby sounds from some of our favourite artists - at a tempo designed to keep you locked in perpetual motion straight out the gate!

Part of @illegal-alien-records, with a solid career in the Mexican underground, more than 15 years as a professional DJ and more than 12 as a producer, Fixon has established himself as one of the most renowned Mexican Techno artist who are making some serious noise abroad.

In 2008, he signed his first release with the Argentinean label Mind Trip Music, owned by techno master Juan Pablo Pfirter.

With releases on labels such as Illegal Alien, Nachtstrom Schallplaten, Vector Functions, Driving Forces, Phobiq, Darknet, Anaoh, Dystopian Rhythm, Fixon proved that he can offer some serious talent as a producer.

Fixon has had successful performances all over Mexico, United States, South America and Europe. Has played in clubs like Tresor Berlin.

Currently, he presents his live PA sessions with 100% original music using technology to hold out an experience that wraps an audience into a journey of senses that go from euphoria to hypnosis with driving basslines and cutting edge sounds that offer a style that portrays it´s very own musical “DNA”. In his other facet, as Dj Presents sessions of powerful and avant-garde music.

His music can be heard in sessions by artist like, Paula Temple, Drumcell, Ben Klock, Antonio De Angelis, Takaaki Itho, Dj Emerson, Richie Hawtin, Lewis Fautzi, Samuli Kemppi, Torsten Kanzler, Steve Rachmad, Ricardo Garduno among others.

Fixon launches along with Dig-it the Mexican´s Techno Labels Vector Functions Records & @anaohrecords. in which they call on artist all over the globe to submit high-quality music.
