Tasha Safari was born in Ganja, Azerbaijan and is now based in Berlin. Her sound fuses the drive of 90s-inspired techno with hypnotic and dark modern textures, always carrying a subtle feminine touch. She has performed at clubs such as Tresor, RSO, ÆDEN and Renate, with appearances across Europe, Asia and the CIS. Her productions have landed on labels including R3volution Uncoded and Diffuse Reality, as well as compilations for Mutant Radio, Reverse Records and PRTL WRX. Alongside her releases and club sets, she has delivered mixes for platforms like Hör Berlin, PoleGroup Radio, Slam Radio, Noods Radio, Raheem Radio and Different Sound Podcasts—showing the same versatility that defines her work as a DJ and producer.

This mix was recorded at home on a mixer and two CDJs. It features plenty of unreleased tracks from some of her favourite artists, with her own voice woven into the journey.

For the 64th edition of the Set the Mood series, the featured guest is OBSERVER, an Amsterdam-based producer and multifaceted DJ with more than six years of experience across various genres. Well-acquainted with the music industry, OBSERVER represents the outcome of years of dedication and serves as a direct expression of his passion.

For him, a perfect opening set is one that creates a space filled with melody and drive, setting the tone for what is to come. With this vision in mind, he has crafted a set that unfolds gradually, blending textured sounds with deep, rich melodies. The intention is to guide listeners into a hypnotic journey, told in chapters, and steadily building momentum toward the next DJ.

As a performer, OBSERVER is capable of delivering a wide range of experiences, from DJ sets to Hybrid Live setups and full hardware live sets. This versatility ensures that each performance is unique, staying true to the essence of DJing while continually pushing himself forward.

Valeria, resident of Schimmer Records, knows her
selectionby heart. Vinyl meets digital, eachtransition
sharp, each groove alive. Together with the Schimmer
family, she brought the journey to Gdansk - a night at
Crackhouse, where walls hum with stories and ship
cranes watch over the dancefloor.

It was her closing set, the sun already breaking in the
early hours. Pumping energy into tired legs, she
carried the dancers further, deeper, longer. Between
steel and sea air, the mix unfolded - raw and unique
like the location itself. A fleeting moment, pressed into
sound, and left behind like a trace of light.

Ahead of our 5th volume of the SOMA NEU series, Damne has created a mix including his track from the compilation 'Homogeneity'.

Damne's productions focus on melancholic, organic textures, with ambient melody and industrial rhythm. He uses a rich arrangement of elements which shows his attention to detail in every layer of space within a track.

Ghetto89 is the new project of Artem Volyk — DJ, producer, sound designer, and event organizer from Kyiv. With over 20 years in music, he has developed a unique approach that blends club energy with refined, detail-oriented sound design. Artem is also known for his projects Selecta, DF90, and Modent, and in 2020 he founded the collective and label OBSKURA.

The sound of Ghetto89 merges elements of techno, house, and experimental music, with a focus on rhythmic depth and hypnotic atmospheres. Since 2015, Artem has been collaborating with the fashion and contemporary art industries, creating music and sound design for international fashion weeks, designer brands, and art events.

As a promoter and curator, he has organized independent parties and collaborated with major festivals and venues — including Atlas Weekend, Green Theatre, Closer, Otel, RiverPort — while performing across Europe and Asia.

In the studio and behind the decks, Artem’s approach is defined by attention to detail, emotional depth, and a distinctive sonic identity. His portfolio spans sonic branding, sound design, and composition for Ukrainian and international brands across fashion, tech, and lifestyle industries.

Artem remains dedicated to exploring new sonic dimensions, constantly pushing his creative boundaries both in the studio and on stage.

Reza Putra Ananda has been reborn as Ecilo through his love for the industrial beats of Techno. Always experimenting with different sounds has shaped Ecilo to become a producer who is genre-fluid yet strongly rooted in his foundations for proper Techno. The fifth Seance release is "The Last Empire EP" and comes courtesy of Spanish artist David Sierra, also known as David Att. Running the accomplished ATT Series label, he has made contributions elsewhere with remixes for Re:Axis' Monocline Records and HD Substance's SUB tl for example.

"Visions" has a lighter feel, using an organic looping structure it appears more like tool, but with plenty of progressions, it's character is hidden in the depths from sweeps and sparing hi-hat combinations.

D_Know is the label head of South African based Knowledge Recordings and he continues to deliver great EP’s containing a superb cross section of talent from around the world.

The tenth edition from the Cape Town curators contains two originals with spacey, hypnotic, and tribal influence alongside some veteran input in the form of Unbalance from Russia and Vegim in Kosovo.

The track we selected for this DT:Premiere is the remix of “Find Yourself” by Unbalance that has a raw analogue sound, dripping in atmosphere and a killer kick delay. Warm and emotional, the delicate chords breathe over the chunky groove to make this a wonderful DJ weapon.
