Kanzleramt presents ‘Consistency Remixes’, a three track remix EP of as-yet unreleased Ray Kajioka originals, hinting at new material on its way soon from the Berlin-based artist and Kanzleramt mainstay.
The EP will land on vinyl in September of 2016 and features remixes from Detroit legend Rolando, as well as The Persuader (aka Jesper Dahlbäck) and Kanzleramt label-head Heiko Laux.

The ODD / EVEN label project from Germany is headed up by established producer Andre Kronert. With contributions by top tier artists such as Jonas Kopp, Pfirter, NX1, Jeroen Search and Dimi Angélis amongst others, it is a label to keep a close eye on as it continues to break new ground with each EP.

Stepping in for his first EP on the imprint is Markus Suckut known for being one of the most consistent tastemakers in Techno today. With a who’s who of label appearances under his belt such as, Lucy’s Stroboscopic Artefacts, Len Faki’s Figure, Sven Väth’s Cocoon and Pfirter’s MindTrip to scratch the surface, his sound is highly revered and respected.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the title track “Your Body” that is actually the last on the EP. Maybe not the most obvious choice for some, it delivers on hidden levels. A subtle beat that’s built for the ‘heads’ and bursting with character. A punchy groove, catchy vocal sample and haunting chime make this a stripped back piece of perfection.

Out the gate comes 'Stainless’ - an electrifying piece of machine-power which, already bursting with energy, still manages to turn it up a few notches. 

Next up, the seasoned producer turns in a powerful chord-rooted tool: 'Swerv' is driven by tides of shimmering beauty along a sea of pounding drums. One to behold is the epic B-side, which amounts to a trance-inducing, enveloping synthetic vortex of sound. Sawlin's debut EP on Delsin off shoot Ann Aimee went down so well it only made sense to have him craft another. 'Eviment' is that EP, made up of three more deep and subterranean techno cuts that play with plenty of textures.

Title track 'Eviment' is a tortured and paranoid offering that has a nagging vocal stretched out over splashy claps and a foreboding bottom end thud. It's vast and dark, spare and haunting where 'Kretze' is a bigger and bolder track. The analogue percussion and serrated lines all sound old and aged as they mark out a scraping, dystopian vision of a world well away from here.

'Sour Tear' has a more syncopated, techno-funk groove but is still padded out with plenty of dubby undercurrents. Sawlin's percussion sounds are wholly non standard, from clanking metal to twanging strings, everything sounds like a real world sound, which makes his music as arresting as anyone's, despite being made firmly for the techno backroom.

Tresor Records is pleased to announce the new reissue of James Ruskin's seminal Point 2 album.

First released in 2000, it marked a fine debut that entrenches the minimal sequences, utilitarian funk and eerie hypnosis found within Ruskin's body of work. As Tresor's relationship with the UK sound grew stronger across the course of the '00s, it was Ruskin, the label owner of Blueprint Records, who played a critical part in this. Throughout the trio of LPs released over that decade, inspirations of the sci-fi minimal Detroit sound lie abundant, rendered through corporeal slammers typical of the UK vein.

Point 2 was the first of Ruskin's trilogy for Tresor, and brought a direct and uncompromising vibrancy to the fore, from the aquatic symphony featured on 'From Over The Edge' to the pinpoint gaze of 'Subject'. Gurning loops beat against alien samples, drained into refined abstractions of pure techno.

Newly remastered and featuring two tracks previously not cut onto vinyl, this upfront and bold classic is set to span dancefloors once again.
