Tresor Records announces the first-ever reissue of Drexciya’s 'Fusion Flats' 12” vinyl, including remixes from Detroit’s Octave One, Kaotic Spatial Rhythms and 043 Chaos. 

Originally released in the wake of Drexciya’s seminal 1999 Tresor debut album 'Neptune’s Lair', this release marks its long-awaited return and first appearance on digital platforms. The remastered edition contains the original extended version of Fusion Flats and features new artwork by Detroit-based contemporary artist Matthew Angelo Harrison, whose reimagined covers continue to shape the Drexciya reissue series. 

25 years later, Fusion Flats returns to the constellation of Drexciya’s Tresor works, connecting their debut full-length to further explorations that continue to inspire generations.

Following the reissue of his debut album Dispatches, Field Records is proud to return to the seminal work of Mike Parker with an overview of his releases on Prologue — a truly original strain of steely, hypnotic techno that has touched upon many diﬀerent waves within the wider scene.

Having pioneered a hard-edged, reductionist style via his Geophone label since the mid-90s, around 2010 Mike Parker found himself at the vanguard of an emergent sound alongside artists like Donato Dozzy and Cio D'or exploring the possibilities of immersive, profoundly transcendental club music. The Prologue label came to define this cult zeitgeist, where reduction and repetition took on a truly psychedelic quality and the subtle details made all the diﬀerence. It ran from 2008 to 2015, laying the foundations for the deep techno sound that remains a vital, evolving subculture in the present moment.

From Parker's first appearance on Prologue with the Subterranean Liquid EP in 2011 through to the Lustrations LP in 2013, he delivered some of the most incisive music of his accomplished career — teased-out rhythms carrying exquisitely engineered textures veering from the subliminal to the visceral, locked into endless, cyclical oblivion and maintaining a stern, machinist veneer. This collection on Field Records combs through Parker's Prologue output and makes a considered selection, gathering key pieces from the first two EPs alongside six of the album tracks on a triple vinyl pressing, alongside a further eight cuts on the expanded digital edition.

Not just a straight-forward reissue, consider Epilogue a thoughtful reframing of a key point in Mike Parker's stellar career. In every exacting pulse, every inch of tacit spatial design, it's the work of an expert sculpting a sound which remains influential in the here and now.

After a short break we're back with episode #62 of our Schimmer Podcast Series selected and mixed by Franz Jäger.

Franz is a long-time member of the collective, known for his minimal and groove-driven approach to techno. For this mix, he brings together mostly unreleased tracks from himself and friends, creating a seamless flow between hypnotic rhythms, subtle textures, and deep, driving grooves. The selection moves between introspective passages and peak-time energy, balancing minimal elegance with tactile, dancefloor-ready patterns. Dilemma Podcast 162 Aureal from Buenos Aires (Argentina). Aureal is the new musical project of Andrés Fusaro, DJ and producer with a solid trajectory in Argentina’s electronic music scene, exploring and innovating within the universe of sci-fi techno from 2008 to the present. Built in the modular environment of VCV Rack and complemented with analog machines, Aureal emerges as an experimental sonic proposal deeply influenced by the aesthetics of science fiction and other artistic languages.

Through a careful exploration of textures, rhythms, and sounds, the project seeks to expand the boundaries of techno into hypnotic, abstract, and immersive territories. Aureal offers immersive auditory experiences that invite listeners on an introspective journey charged with energy and density.

Currently, Andrés is focused on a deeper and more cinematic facet of techno, maintaining its hypnotic essence while opening up to new rhythmic and sensory narratives. In parallel, he is also working on another project alongside the renowned DJ and producer Eduardo de la Calle called RSCA, and co-runs Neptune Sci Club together with Eduardo Criado — an event dedicated to cult techno and science fiction.

Another label is born, Interstate resides between London and Berlin. Headed up by the duo named Dial Tone it’s set to be a haven for all things Techno, be it experimental, ambient or otherwise.

The first vinyl and digital package includes works from the label boss himself alongside great company such as Glós, Hedrome, Inhalt Der Nacht and Argentina’s Mental Resonance.

A respected back catalogue of releases that includes labels such as Pfirter’s MindTrip, Sonntag Morgen and Belief Systems amongst others, Mental Resonance is always on point with his pertinent productions.

“Equality” is no exception as we selected it for this DT:Premiere where he uses tom combinations to begin and set the tone under a barrage of acid / electro shocks. The vivacious rolling beat and scintillating hi-hat work are magically misleading, as it awaits the introduction of deep chords changing the function and vibe completely to that of melodic material. Patient and engaging, this could be a warm up or warm down weapon for DJ use, but a stand alone, outstanding piece of music none the less.

Anthony Linell "The Levels Of Existential Space" [First Floor Premiere]

Subosc is back in full effect with a new release on shrink-wrapped vinyl.

The A-side is assigned to the techno veteran Mike Parker, known for his signature sound on Geophone. In this release, he showcases two timeless, versatile and masterly crafted tracks.
 
"Trailing particles" presents a solid, well-defined narration with a futuristic, sligthly hallucinogenic synthesis. The reverberation of the analogue synths is precisely crafted, and it gives a spatially evolving character to the track.
"Trireme” features an obscure, alienating, pervasive and shiver-inducing synthesis action, which has a consistent and energetic sonic impact on mind and body.
 
The B-side includes two original tracks from the brand new Italian project R²π, born from the holistic fusion of Retina.it, Prg/M and Ruhig.
"Persona" is a rarefied tale with an intricate scenery, cleverly modeled to give a sophisticated spatial awereness. Bleeps, metallic synths and intricate percussions are put together with a massive bassline for a complete sonic experience.
"Stato Intermedio" takes place with a terrain-to-transcendent voyage. Dark, alarming soundscapes are blended with vibrating and occasionally mind-blasting metallic sounds. Additional bleeps give continuity to the experience proposed in "Persona", offering regularity to the structure of the track, and allowing to dose precisely the mutating action of the synths across the time axis.
