DarkForest is a Spanish imprint from Bernardo Hangar and with a cunning roster of talent having featured contributions from Eduardo De La Calle, HD Substance, Pyramidal Decode and A Thousand Details to name only a few.

Esteban Miranda is a flourishing artist from Colombia who has seen his music appear on renowned stables such as Michele Mausi’s [R]3volution, Robert Hoff’s trau-ma, Jewel Kid’s Alleanza, Moddullar’s INNSIGNN, and many more.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track “Restlessness” with an intelligent, brooding intensity. The cyclical, hypnotic hook expands and morphs organically, pushing forward like a forcefield of sound in a stunning time warp, capturing an ethereal essence in this rocking DJ weapon.

Deepak Sharma takes it deep in DSC005 as he displays his hypnotic collection of techno.

A note from the artist:

Launching in January 2022, DSC (Deepak Sharma Collection) is a new digital series where I’ll be releasing an individual track each month.

The project materialized from the pandemic as an outlet to keep busy and sane from the isolation.  From fresh material to digging into the vault and editing older sketches, everyone was fair game.

The result is a collection of varied works where the sound is consistent with what I’m known for: stripped down, rolling and hypnotic atmospheres ideal for dark dance-floors which I missed both as a DJ and a dancer.

The first two years of DSC have been completed so I see this offering becoming a resource for DJs to grab a tool when they need on a more consistent basis from me.

First access will be available on BandCamp than later in the month the usual digital outlets with its own page on Beatport and then stream services such as Spotify.

I hope you’ll join me on the journey and enjoy the series!

Founded in 1999, Rilis is the label from Naples techno pioneer Rino Cerrone that has exclusively released his own tracks as a series of ten vinyl EPs, but has also included remixes from old school heads such as The Advent, Gaetano Parisio, Stanny Franssen, Joseph Capriati and many more.

Relaunching the label after over a decade of being dormant, they have enlisted a couple of established producers showing their pedigree with a new four-track techno tool exploration titled Route following appearances on Marco Bailey’s MB Elektronics and Ben Sims’ Hardgroove.

Samuel L Session is a longstanding, influential producer who has contributed to Slam’s Soma, Shlomi Aber’s Be As One, Len Faki’s Figure and Emmanuel’s ARTS as well as his own imprints SLS, Cycle, New Soil, and Klap Klap.

Belgian Van Czar is now based in Spain and is an accomplished DJ who has also released on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records amongst others.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track called “18-022” that is an understated floor worker. Raw and jackin’ with a racy, rippling bassline, its hypnotic traits combine with the dystopian tones and stripped back, analogue groove that make it shine with a classic personality.
