2020 SET´S OF TECHNO

The Stone Techno series continues. We are presenting the third release of this beautiful collaboration alongside with the Ruhr Museum Foundation and the Orthorhombic EP marks a special occasion. You may ask yourself why? Because the whole project can be also a door opener for talented artists such as our Stone Techno Challenge winner Emil Baghino from Paris, who has delivered the best track amongst more than 170 submissions.

On the other hand, we have again some stellar artists on the bill. The four-tracker A-Side is reserved for not one but two fresh Berlin based duos: it starts with some tight-punching breaks by the one and only FJAAK and leads into the second track, a driven techno tool by Inhalt der Nacht & Tham, which definitely deserves the term “post-industrial machine music”. On the B-Side the techno train stays on the rail with deep hypnotic vibes by Jamaica Suk and last but not least, a real-effective dance floor banger by Emil Baghino.

We hope you enjoy the tracks and be ready for the fourth and last release of the Stone Techno Series for this year.

Austrian musicians Luca Tresque, Joe Haensn, and Rotary Motion have launched a new underground techno label called Splatter that releases music on vinyl and internet platforms.

Astute musicians like Florian Meindl, JANEIN, Franz Jäger, and Fhase 87 have already been signed to the label.

Daniel Heinrich co-runs Berlin-based Inherit Records, which has included music and remixes by Hadone, Arnaud Le Texier, Insolate, Ferdinger, and others. He is back on Splatter after making an appearance on the launch VA, and also has projects released on Diffuse Reality and Elektrotribe in his own production back catalogue.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Beyond Reality" with a firey, uptempo acid punch. This throbbing missile of energy develops its intensity from a raw groove with modular accents to a gritty and powerful slice of production mastery with the killer vocal hook.

Planet Rhythm is a legendary Dutch label formed in the early ’90s and that has staked its claim with a constant stream of brilliant techno music from the likes of Bas Mooy, Sleeparchive, Oscar Mulero, TWR72, Adam Beyer, Woo York and many more.

Returning for his tenth appearance with the Inferno EP is Ukrainian artist Yan Cook who continues to be one of the most consistent and idealist producers around with ear for enchanting sound design and club ready weapons. His beats can be found on super labels such as Soma, ARTS and Delsin as well as his own Cooked imprint that began releasing in 2017.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track titled “Worm” that spins a warping web of delayed acid waves to stimulate the senses. Raw and analogue, this engrossing creation is another example why his work is a constant source of inspiration to those who really know their stuff and pine for standout, secret weapons.
