Death to Giants - Anyone Can Learn to Count in Chinese

Death to Giants is an experimental duo based in Shanghai, China.  Ivan sings and plays drums, and Nichols sings and plays bass guitar and occasionally trombone. DtG delivers its version of Death Pop which combines thrash metal, be bop, math-rock, pop, punk, and various EDM styles. 

DtG is also known for performing collaborative concerts (or "Deaths") that include both improvisational and prepared performances with other musicians, noisemakers, VJs, MCs, and DJs. Here is a non-exhaustive list of past and recurring live collaborations:

Death to Giants = The two members of DtG playing their original music (Death Pop/Metal Bop)
Death to Ponies - DtG + Acid Pony Club, two French DJ/Producers playing analog synths (Psychedelic Electro Rock)
Death to Cinema = DtG + VJ BO = BO curates film cult film clips while DtG improvises a live soundtrack. Often includes special guests on trumpet, cello, uke, saw, and various other noisemakers. (Installation art meets live rock show)

Death to Haavick = DtG + Alex Haavivk, jazz saxophonist and leader of the Friction Alliance
Death to Pony Friction = Death to Ponies + Alec Haavivk
Mongolian Death Squad = DtG + Guren, a traditional Mongolian duo consisting of a throat-singer/multi-instrumentalist and an accomplished horse-head fiddler.
Adam Smashing  = DtG + Adam Gaensler of Luwan Rock and Adam Crossley of Friend or Foe.
Death to the System = DtG performing as System of a Down for a Halloween Tribute show. Yes, two people doing the job of four!
Death to Dudettes = DtG + The Dudettes = DtG was the backing band of all-girl comedy rockers for their final 4 shows.
